Aim: The aim of this study was to assess the role of seminal Malondialdehyde Acid (MDA) in the diagnosis of male infertility.
Background: Both male and female infertility is increasing all over the world.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to assess the impact of seminal MDA levels on various semen parameters of healthy fertile men and men with infertility, and to know the efficacy of seminal MDA in the diagnosis of male infertility.
A multiparous woman in her 20s, presented to the clinic with bleeding from caesarean scar site. After clinical examination and radiological evaluation with ultrasound and MR fistulogram, the diagnosis was utero-cutaneous fistula. Complete resection of fistulous tract with uterine defect closure and supportive omental patch placement was done after an intraoperative demonstration of the utero-cutaneous fistula by injecting methylene blue dye.

Study Design: The study was conducted on 180 men (20-50 years) with 90 having abnormal semen reports as cases and 90 with normal reports as controls in a rural tertiary care center in Southern India over two years. After the enrolment of cases and control, semen samples were cryopreserved till the desired sample size was achieved and a biochemical test for TEX-101 was run using Human Testis-expressed Protein 101 ELISA Kit.
This study aimed to compare the effect of misoprostol using vaginal or sublingual routes on the non-pregnant uterine cervix prior to minor gynaecological procedures. One hundred and forty women were randomised 1:1 into two groups: A and B. Group A received misoprostol 400 mcg vaginally and pyridoxine 40 mg sublingually and Group B received misoprostol 400 mcg sublingually and pyridoxine 40 mg vaginally 4 h prior to procedure.

This study aimed to evaluate the reliability of vaginal washing fluid urea and creatinine for diagnosis of PROM and to determine the cut off value. The current study was a prospective case control.

It is a disease of reproductive age, and a few cases have also been seen in women with advanced age, although it is extremely rare in postmenopausal women. Here, we describe an uncommon case of complete hydatidiform mole (CHM) in a postmenopausal woman, who has presented to us with complaints of bleeding per vagina, vomiting with 22 weeks size gravid uterus.

We report a rare case of proximal focal femoral deficiency with fibular hemimelia in a woman who had attempted abortion with self-administered misoprostol and later continued the pregnancy.

Cervical pregnancy is a rare form of ectopic pregnancy with potential grave consequences occurring in approximately 1:9,000 deliveries. It is life-threatening as the pregnancy is implanted in the endocervical canal and the trophoblast can penetrate through the cervical wall and into the uterine blood supply resulting in catastrophic haemorrhage. Historically, the treatment had been hysterectomy because of the considerable risk of life-threatening haemorrhage, but in the recent past various conservative management modalities have been applied to preserve fertility.

Unsafe abortion is one of the causes of maternal mortality and morbidity in developing countries. The complications mostly results following unsafe abortion procedure done by unskilled provider with or without minimal medical knowledge in rural part of developing countries. These complications can endanger the life of mother if proper medical or surgical interventions are not offered in time.

However, there is paucity of data about the use of this method for induction of labour and reducing prolonged labour in pregnancy with previous caesarean section.

Materials And Methods: A randomized placebo-controlled study was conducted on 100 term singleton pregnancies planned for induction of labour. The participants were randomly assigned to two groups.
We report a case of term live baby with tetra-phocomelia born to a 35-year-old G3P2L2A0 with history of consanguineous marriage. She was an unbooked case from a tribal community with no previous antenatal visits. At 39 wk of gestation, she was admitted to our hospital with complaint of pain abdomen and on examination was found to be in second stage of labour.

To predict serious outcomes in pregnancy various parameters are being researched so that pregnant women who are at risk are identified early and measures taken to ensure a good outcome of pregnancy. Studies have shown an association between microalbuminuria and adverse pregnancy outcome.

The preterm baby developed severe respiratory distress and succumbed on the second postnatal day. Persistent severe pain in the postoperative period in the mother prompted further evaluation which led to a diagnosis of acute pancreatitis.

Background: Early intervention and appropriate treatment in patients with GDM will help in preventing the adverse maternal and fetal outcome and protect them from long term complications. Several studies have shown the association of hyperuricemia with GDM. This study was undertaken to find out the association of elevated first trimester uric acid with development of GDM.

Clinical examination revealed an inverted uterus, cervix and vagina with a large submucosal fundal fibroid. A diagnosis of non-puerperal uterine inversion was made.

Aims: To compare the efficacy of letrozole and clomiphene citrate in attaining optimal follicular growth.
Context: Preterm delivery is associated with high perinatal mortality and morbidity. Although detection of fetal fibronectin in cervical can predict preterm labor, but it is not available in lower source setting area. So, cervical length measurement by ultrasound can be used as an alternative to fetal fibronectin for predicting preterm labor.

Serum uric acid has been shown to correlate well with disease severity in preeclampsia.
Materials And Methods: A total of 24-h urine protein estimation, spot urine P/C ratio, and serum uric acid measurements were carried out in 75 pregnant preeclamptic women and the correlation between these investigations, as also the association between proteinuria and hyperuricemia with adverse fetomaternal outcomes were studied.
Postpartum haemorrhage is a leading cause of global maternal mortality and morbidity, accounting for 25-30% of all maternal deaths, and 75-90% of these casualties result from uterine atony. Uterine compressive sutures are a well established measure for control of haemorrhage following atonic postpartum haemorrhage, when medical and nonmedical interventions fail. Here, we are reporting a case of secondary infertility in a 24-year-old lady who had undergone an elective caesarean section for central placenta previa in her first pregnancy.
