The potential of epoxy-graphene oxide (GO) nanocomposites to improve the mechanical characteristics of conventional epoxy resins is causing them to gain prominence. This makes them appropriate for advanced engineering applications, including structural materials, automotive, and aerospace. This study aimed to develop an epoxy/GO composite with improved mechanical properties through synthesizing epoxy/GO samples with varying GO content (from 0.

The effect of adding these micronutrient iron concentrations on the paste's physical, mechanical, aromatic, and chemical properties was evaluated every 15 days over a 60-day, storage period. The results indicated a gradual decrease in pH, total soluble solids (TSS), and taste index, alongside an increase in total acidity (TA) for all treatments throughout the storage period.

Materials And Methods: This is a double-blinded clinical trial that was performed in 2020-2021 in Isfahan, Iran, on 60 patients with COPD exacerbation that require NIV. All patients received short-acting beta-agonists, short-acting anticholinergics, systemic corticosteroids, and NIV.
Salt caverns are widely regarded as a suitable option for the underground storage of hydrogen. However, an accurate assessment of the hydrogen leakage through the walls of salt caverns into the surrounding formations remains crucial. In this work, the flow of hydrogen into the surrounding formation is evaluated by assuming that salt rock consists of bundles of tortuous nano-capillary tubes.

The nanofibers were fabricated using a three-step synthesis and electrospinning techniques, resulting in uniform, bead-free fibers with an average diameter of 186 ± 56 nm. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy confirmed the successful incorporation of all components, while tensile strength tests demonstrated improved mechanical properties by adding nanoparticles.

Considering the increasing water deficit worldwide, implementing some profitable and empirical strategies can be inevitable upon exposure to drought stress. Therefore, the present study aimed at clarifying the beneficial role of exogenously foliar application of FeO modified carbon nitride nanostructures (control, FeSO, CN and FeO/g-CN) to "Shengeh" olive cultivars grown at different watering levels (100, 75, and 50% ET) in two experimental years (2022 and 2023) and the pomological attributes, physiological and biochemical changes happening in the treated leaves and fruits were discussed.

We investigated the effect of the styrene-to-acrylonitrile ratio (ST:AN) used during the grafting process on the final UFPNR-SAN compatibility with PLA. The ST:AN ratio was systematically varied during the grafting reaction to prepare UFPNR-SAN with a range of different surface energies.

This study utilized molecular dynamics simulations to investigate the interaction mechanisms between hydrocortisone (HC) and various methylated CD derivatives. The results reveal that the loading of HC into CD cavities follows different mechanisms depending on the degree and position of methylation.

The aim of this study was to identify the demographic characteristics and mental health condition of Tehran Municipality employees during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on Tehran Municipality employees in 2020-2021.
Low number of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in the blood samples and time-consuming properties of the current CTC isolation methods for processing a small volume of blood are the biggest obstacles to CTC usage in practice. Therefore, we aimed to design a CTC dialysis system with the ability to process cancer patients' whole blood within a reasonable time. Two strategies were employed for developing this dialysis setup, including (i) synthesizing novel core-shell Cu ferrites consisting of the Cu-CuFeO core and the MIL-88A shell, which are targeted by the anti-HER2 antibody for the efficient targeting and trapping of CTCs; and (ii) fabricating a microfluidic system containing a three-dimensional (3D)-printed microchannel filter composed of a polycaprolactone/FeO nanoparticle composite with pore diameter less than 200 μm on which a high-voltage magnetic field is focused to enrich and isolate the magnetic nanoparticle-targeted CTCs from a large volume of blood.

Sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL) is a condition in which a person experiences a rapid loss of hearing, often in one ear. The cause of SSNHL is not always clear, but it is thought to be related to issues with the inner ear, auditory nerve, or other parts of the hearing pathway. Intratympanic injection is a treatment method for SSNHL in which a medication (corticosteroids) is injected directly into the middle ear space through the tympanic membrane.

There is therefore an urgency to take immediate actions to characterize the wide variability of cultivars in order to identify those with a stable response to high temperatures, particularly in areas like the west of Iran, which is characterized by a warm summer continental climate. The objective of this study is to investigate the process of fruit development and oil accumulation in response to high summer temperature conditions in a set of four Iranian olive cultivars (Shengeh, Roughani, Zard Aliabad, and Dezful) in comparison with four foreign olive cultivars (Konservolia, Sevillana, Manzanilla, and Mission) in seven various harvesting times (20 July, 5 and 20 August, 5 and 20 September, 6 and 21 October).
