Background: The problem of substance use disorder in Iran is of great national concern. The aim of this study was to measure the association between substance use disorder and demographic, social and behavioral factors in Yasuj city, located at southwest of Iran.

Methods: As the second phase of a previously published study, this case-control study was conducted in 2015-2016 on 362 addicted participants and 207 controls (with no history of substance use disorder).

Background: Substance dependence is considered as an important health disorder with a wide and serious range of psychosocial effects. With regard to the large number of people with substance dependency in Iran and high failure rate of quitting attempts, the aim of this study was to identify contributing factors to quitting substance dependency among patients in Yasuj the capital of Kohgilooyeh and Boyerahmad province.

Methods: This case-control study was conducted on 150 current substance users (as control group) and 187 patients who voluntarily introduced themselves to governmental and private residential treatment camps (as case group).

Background And Objective: The incidence of cancer is rising in Iran, and hence it is important to assess the accuracy of the Iranian cancer registry dataset. In this study, the completeness of the cancer registry in the Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad (K&B) province is evaluated.

Method: The data of registered cases of cancer of people who were living in the K&B province at the time of diagnosis were obtained from the provincial cancer registry offices in K&B, Fars and all other neighbouring provinces.

This study assessed the effectiveness of a biorational control approach using 2% hydramethylnon gel bait on German cockroaches, Blattella germanica (L.) in some residential and hospital buildings in South Western Iran. In total, three buildings consisting of 150 apartment units and 101 hospital units were monitored weekly via sticky trap for German cockroach infestations over a period of eight months.
