Primary shortening of the forearm and Sauvé-Kapandji for severely comminuted fractures of the distal forearm in elderly patients: a case report.

We report a case of an elderly female who sustained a severely comminuted distal radial and ulnar fracture, treated by shortening of the forearm, combined with a primary Sauvé-Kapandji procedure and volar plating of the distal radius.

Successful closed reduction of refractured wrist with a bent volar distal radius plate.

A case is presented of a 78-year-old woman who sustained a re-fracture of the distal radius after initial fixation with a volar locking plate. The fracture was located in the mid-portion of the volar plate with palmar apex bending of the plate and signs of median nerve compression. A successful closed reduction was performed without hardware failure.

Volar percutaneous transtrapezial fixation of scaphoid waist fractures: surgical technique.

We present the case of a 53-year-old male patient who presented with recurrent posttraumatic posterior hip dislocations, Epstein-Thompson type 1. No specific abnormality or pre-existing pathology was found. After closed reduction and rapid mobilization the patient was discharged from our institution.
