Renal abscess is a rare disease in childhood and early diagnosis is essential to minimize the renal damages. Experiences gained from this 10-year study on patients with CT-proved diagnosis include the varied clinical presentations and use of sonographic-marked nephromegaly and focal mass as indications for further CT diagnosis.

Background: The aims of this study were to determine whether renal pelvis dilation on ultrasound was reliable in predicting vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) and to assess the relationship of other clinical information of VUR in children with urinary tract infection (UTI).

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed clinical data, renal echo, and voiding cystourethrogram (VCUG) results in hospitalized children with their first episode of UTI, aged from 1 month to 5 years, during a 1-year period.

Results: There were 114 children with 228 kidneys eligible for the study.

Materials And Methods: A cross-sectional study of nocturnal enuresis in Taiwanese school children was performed in 10 primary schools in Tao-Yuan County, Taiwan. Questionnaires on demographic data, familial and physical conditions were completed by 7,225 children assisted by their parents.
