The purpose of this study was to design a local ventilation system (LVS) to help reduce the moisture content of a Scalder hall, evaluate its comfort and thermal stress before and after implementation of LVS and introduce an appropriate index to evaluate warm and humid workplaces. The design of the LVS was performed according to the ACGIH standard (VS-30-01). Heat stress and thermal comfort assessment were performed before and after LVS using humidity index (Humidex), discomfort index (DI), heat index (HI), wet-bulb globe temperature (WBGT) and predicted mean vote index (PMV) indices and the results were compared with predicted mean vote index-predicted percentage of dissatisfied (PMV-PPD) subjective indices.

Methods: For this purpose, titanium dioxide nanoparticles were used as photocatalysts and UV lamps as radiation sources. Degradation efficiency and CO2 selectivity were compared.
After the outbreak of COVID-19, many dental clinics use dry fogging of hydrogen peroxide (HO) to disinfect the air and surfaces. Inhalation of highly concentrated solutions of HO may cause severe respiratory problems. This study aimed to estimate the health risk assessments of inhalation exposure to dry fogging of HO in a dental clinic.

This study aimed to examine the ventilation system of an intensive care unit (ICU) in a hospital in Tehran, Iran to evaluate the potency of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system (HVAC) for COVID-19 spread.
Materials And Methods: Contamination of air turnover caves was evaluated in supplier diffuser and extractor grills of negative pressure HVAC by ten samples.
Formaldehyde is a colorless and highly irritating substance that is used as a preservative and chemical fixative in tissue processing in pathological laboratories. Formaldehyde is mutagenic and is classified by the IARC as the definitive carcinogen (A1 group). This cross-sectional descriptive-analytical study was performed to determine the respiratory exposure of 60 employees of pathology labs with formaldehyde and to estimate carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic risk in Iran in 2018-2019.

In the current study, impacts of three development periods of Bojnourd cement factory on pollutants emission (CO, SO, NO, and PM) were investigated using the AUSTAL 2000 model. The collected emission data during 19 years were classified for each period and analyzed via the model, separately.
