Behçet's Disease (BD) is a multisystem inflammatory disorder that can lead to severe vascular complications, including Budd-Chiari Syndrome (BCS), a rare but life-threatening condition characterized by hepatic vein obstruction. The co-occurrence of BD and inherited thrombophilia, such as Factor V Leiden mutation, significantly increases the risk of thrombosis, complicating the clinical management of affected individuals. In this case, a 16-year-old female initially presented with nonspecific symptoms of generalized fatigue and bone pain, which later progressed to abdominal distension and significant hepatosplenomegaly.

The term "event" covers a wide range of concrete situations in radiation oncology, from particularly intense radiation-related side effects to the possibility of technical or human error. Although quality procedures are an integral part of radiotherapy oncology department operations ensuring the analysis and prevention of such events, their occurrence during radiation treatment still has a significant impact on patients and their experience of the treatment process, as well as on health professionals. These practical, emotional and symbolic impacts are all the greater when the event occurs in the aftermath of an error.

Hodgkin lymphoma (HL), a lymphoid neoplasm characterized by the presence of Reed-Sternberg cells, often presents with painless lymphadenopathy and systemic symptoms. This case report details the diagnostic journey of a 27-year-old non-smoker female with chronic respiratory symptoms, including persistent cough, hemoptysis, and weight loss over two years. Despite multiple treatments for presumed infections and extensive diagnostic procedures, the correct diagnosis of HL was delayed due to atypical pulmonary manifestations, notably necrotizing pneumonia and multiple cavitary lung lesions.

Starting in 2016, target real world data were selected at expert consensus conferences and regularly updated, then captured in MOSAIQ© as the patient was treated. The ability to reduce toxicity of ultra-high dose rate (UHDR) helium ion irradiation has not been reported in vivo. Here, we tested UHDR helium ion irradiation in an embryonic zebrafish model. Our results show that UHDR helium ions spare body development and reduce spine curvature, compared to conventional dose rate.

In the case of synchronous metastatic disease, the local treatment of primary tumors by radiotherapy has long been reserved for palliative indications. The emergence of the concept of oligometastatic and oligopersistent diseases, the advent of new systemic therapies enabling longer overall survival with an enhanced quality of life, a better understanding of the biologic history of metastatic spread, and technical advances in radiation therapy are revolutionizing the management of patients with de novo metastatic cancer. The prognosis of these patients has been markedly improved and many studies have investigated the survival benefits from the local treatment of various primary tumors in cases of advanced disease at the time of diagnosis or in the case of oligopersistence.
