Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates the efficacy and safety of fruquintinib combined with anti-PD-1 antibodies for treating patients with advanced microsatellite stable colorectal cancer (MSS CRC) who have already failed standard therapies.
  • A total of 70 patients were analyzed, revealing a median overall survival of 19.48 months and a progression-free survival of 5.5 months, with a modest objective response rate of 11.43%.
  • Liver metastasis without local treatment was identified as a significant risk factor affecting overall survival, while the treatment was generally well-tolerated with manageable side effects like hand-foot syndrome and hypertension.

Aberrant activation of eIF4E contributes to gastric cancer growth and resistance. MAPK-interacting kinases (MNKs) regulate eIF4E phosphorylation and activity in tumor but not normal cells and are potentially safe targets for the treatment of various cancers. Our work reveals that tomivosertib, a potent and highly selective dual MNK1/2 inhibitor, preferentially sensitizes gastric cancer to chemotherapy via suppressing MNK-eIF4E-β-catenin.

Background: Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is the seventh most common type of cancer around the world. The aim of this study was to seek the long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) acting as diagnostic and prognostic biomarker of HNSCC.

Methods: Base on TCGA dataset, the differentially expressed mRNAs (DEmRNAs) and lncRNAs (DElncRNAs) were identified between HNSCC and normal tissue.
