[The treatment of chemical burns of the esophagus in children].

The article covers the 22-year experience of treatment of chemical burns of the esophagus in 4252 children. The cicatrical stricture (the III degree burn) of the esophagus had 5.9% of patients.

[Peculiarities of stress erosive ulcerous injuries of stomach and small intestine].

Aim: The aim of this investigation is to estimate the role of systemic injuries of lipid metabolism in pathogenesis of ulceration on the model of stress ulcerogenesis.

Materials And Methods: There have been assumed as a basis of the work experimental investigations on 60 pubertal white rats of both sexes weighing 200 gr. There was studied the state of macroscopic picture of stomach and small intestine, qualitative and quantitative lipid composition, lipid peroxidation, phospholipase A2, catalase, superoxide dismutase in stomach tissues, small intestine and blood plasma.

[The surgical treatment of the inborn lobar emphysema in children: the comparative analysis].

Results of surgical treatment were comparatively analyzed in children with congenital lobar emphysema operated using traditional technique (1 group, 10 patients) and operated using thoracoscopic technique (2 group, 10 patients). In the first group average time of operation amounted 68 +/- 5,8 min., average time of plural drainage--3,3 days, average time of postoperative hospitalization--13,6 days and in the second group--62 +/- 15,6 min.
