The technique that we outline is extremely versatile for restoring an aesthetic and youthful breast shape in the patient who has lost a massive amount of weight. Overall, complication rates have been low. Despite the disadvantages of a lengthy scar and the need for extensive intraoperative tailoring (which may increase operative time), this operation carries an extremely high rate of patient satisfaction.
