Sestrins (Sesns) are a family of highly conserved stress-inducible proteins and various stresses have been shown to strongly up-regulate them. Sestrin 2 (Sesn2) deficiency has been shown to partially suppress pulmonary emphysema. The aim of this study was to evaluate Sesn2 levels in COPD patients and its possible associations with the presence of emphysema and blood eosinophils.

Introduction: Primary pulmonary synovial sarcoma is an extremely rare tumor with only few case reports in the literature.
Case Presentation: A healthy 67-year-old woman was admitted for investigation of a pulmonary mass found on a routine X-ray. She had a history of breast cancer diagnosed and treated 13 years previously with left mastectomy followed by adjuvant endocrine therapy.
