It is an indisputable dogma in extremity radiography to acquire x-ray studies in at least two complementary projections, which is also true for distal radius fractures in children. However, there is cautious hope that computer vision could enable breaking with this tradition in minor injuries, clinically lacking malalignment. We trained three different state-of-the-art convolutional neural networks (CNNs) on a dataset of 2,474 images: 1,237 images were posteroanterior (PA) pediatric wrist radiographs containing isolated distal radius torus fractures, and 1,237 images were normal controls without fractures.

Material And Methods: Twenty patients scheduled for contrast-enhanced CT angiography (CTA) of the abdominal aorta post-EVAR were prospectively enrolled. All patients received a standard triphasic CTA protocol, followed by an additional dCTA.
Transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) is the standard of care for initial evaluation of patients with suspected cardioembolic stroke. Although TTE is useful for assessing certain sources of cardiac emboli, its diagnostic capability is limited in the detection of other sources, including left atrial thrombus and aortic plaques. The purpose of this article was to investigate sensitivity, specificity, and predictive value of cardiac CTA (CCTA), cardiac MRI (CMRI), and TTE for recurrence in patients with suspected cardioembolic stroke.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of a 150kV spectral filtration chest imaging protocol (Sn150kVp) combined with advanced modeled iterative reconstruction (ADMIRE) on radiation dose and image quality in patients after lung-transplantation.
Methods: This study included 102 patients who had unenhanced chest-CT examinations available on both, a second-generation dual-source CT (DSCT) using standard protocol (100kVp, filtered-back-projection) and, on a third-generation DSCT using Sn150kVp protocol with ADMIRE. Signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) was measured in 6 standardized regions.
Purpose: To assess a novel low-dose CT-protocol, combining a 150 kV spectral filtration unenhanced protocol (Sn150 kVp) and a stone-targeted dual-energy CT (DECT) in patients with urolithiasis.
Methods: 232 (151 male, 49 ± 16.4 years) patients with urolithiasis received a low-dose non-contrast enhanced CT (NCCT) for suspected urinary stones either on a third-generation dual-source CT system (DSCT) using Sn150 kVp (n = 116, group 1), or on a second-generation DSCT (n = 116 group 2) using single energy (SE) 120 kVp.
Objectives: To investigate diagnostic accuracy and radiation dose of high-pitch CT coronary artery calcium scoring (CACS) with tin filtration (Sn100kVp) versus standard 120kVp high-pitch acquisition.
Methods: 78 patients (58% male, 61.5±9.
Objectives: To compare the diagnostic accuracy between low-kilovolt peak (kVp) (≤ 100) and high-kVp (> 100) third-generation dual-source coronary CT angiography (CCTA) using a kVp-tailored contrast media injection protocol.
Methods: One hundred twenty patients (mean age = 62.6 years, BMI = 29.
Objectives: To evaluate a self-navigated free-breathing three-dimensional (SNFB3D) radial whole-heart MRA technique for assessment of main coronary arteries (CAs) and side branches in patients with congenital heart disease (CHD).
Methods: SNFB3D-MRA datasets of 109 patients (20.1±11.
Objectives: To evaluate and compare surface doses of a cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and a multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) device in pediatric ankle and wrist phantoms.
Methods: Thermoluminescent dosimeters (TLD) were used to measure and compare surface doses between CBCT and MDCT in a left ankle and a right wrist pediatric phantom. In both modalities adapted pediatric dose protocols were utilized to achieve realistic imaging conditions.
The aim of this study was to assess the image quality (IQ) and radiation dose of third-generation dual-source computed tomography (CT) coronary angiography (cCTA) in comparison with 64-slice single-source CT. This retrospective study included 140 patients (73 men, mean age 62 ± 11 years) with low-to-intermediate probability of coronary artery disease who underwent either third-generation dual-source cCTA using prospectively electrocardiography-triggered high-pitch spiral acquisition (n = 70) (group 1) or retrospective electrocardiography-gated cCTA on a 64-slice CT system (n = 70) (group 2). Contrast-to-noise and signal-to-noise ratios were measured within the aorta and coronary arteries.
