Flotation using sodium dodecyl sulphate and sodium lauroyl isethionate for rapid dewatering of Mg(OH) radwaste suspensions.

Mg(OH) suspensions were floated utilising sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) and sodium lauroyl isethionate (SLI) collectors, for rapid dewatering of radwaste suspensions. Isolation of a Mycobacterium microti-like organism from a rock hyrax (Procavia capensis) in a Canadian zoo.

A Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex organism was isolated from a zoo resident rock hyrax (Procavia capensis) imported into Canada from South Africa. The strain was identified biochemically as Mycobacterium microti. The spoligotype pattern obtained for this isolate was found to be rare.
