Objective: To describe Neisseria gonorrhoeae treatment failure to the recommended antimicrobial regimens (azithromycin, cefixime and ceftriaxone).

Methods: Our study was a longitudinal analysis of treatment failures from an observational open cohort of gonococcal infection cases collected in Québec, Canada (n = 2547) between September 2015 and December 2019. Epidemiological and clinical data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire, direct case interviews and chart reviews.

Longitudinal study of pregnancy intention and its association with pregnancy occurrence among female sex workers in Benin and Mali.

Background: The intention of becoming pregnant has an evident impact on the prenatal and postnatal period. For female sex workers (FSWs) in West Africa, among whom pregnancies are frequent as are HIV and sexually transmitted infections, a better understanding of their pregnancy intention and its influence on pregnancy occurrence could help prevent unwanted pregnancies and adverse effects on wanted pregnancies.

Methods: We recruited 330 FSWs in Benin and 322 in Mali and followed them for 12 months.

Overview and factors associated with pregnancies and abortions occurring in sex workers in Benin.

Background: Behavioural and structural factors related to sex work, place female sex workers (FSWs) at high risk of maternal mortality and morbidity (MMM), with a large portion due to unintended pregnancies and abortions. In the African context where MMM is the highest in the world, understanding the frequency and determinants of pregnancy and abortion among FSWs is important in order to meet their sexual and reproductive health needs.

Methods: Data from two Beninese cross-sectional surveys among FSWs aged 18+ (2013, N = 450; 2016, N = 504) were merged.

Incidence of shoulder pain in 40 years old and over and associated factors: A systematic review.

Background: Shoulder pain is one of the most frequent musculoskeletal complaints, and its prevalence and consequences increase with age. However, little is known about the incidence of shoulder pain among aging adults. We conducted this review to estimate the incidence of shoulder pain in ageing adults and its associated factors.

Twenty "must-read" research articles for primary care providers in Nunavik: scoping study and development of an information tool.

While health needs in Nunavik are distinct, there is a scarcity of knowledge transfer intended for local primary care providers. We aimed to build an information tool in the form of a newsletter and a website to share with them a selection of relevant research articles. To identify such articles, a scoping study of Inuit health research published between 2012 and 2017 was conducted.
