Objective: To validate the content of an evaluation matrix for the nursing process in the hospital context.

Method: A methodological study conducted in four stages, carried out from March to December 2022. Including: bibliographic research and selection of structuring foundations; construction of the logical model and analysis and judgment matrix; content validation by a committee of judges (n=11) using the Delphi technique; analysis of content validation data by calculating the Concordance Rate and Content Validity Index.

(1) Objective: To describe men's experiences as acute myocardial infarction sufferers from a social phenomenological perspective, a year after the event (2) Methods: The phenomenological interview was used to capture the participants' discourse. The data were analyzed according to the theoretical methodological approach of social phenomenology. (3) Results: The discourse analysis of the content produced the following categories, set out according reasons "why": personal biography, knowledge set, warning signs prior to the illness, experience at the intensive care unit, and rehabilitation process; and reasons "for": expectations as regards the illness, health professionals, and future social life and work prospects.

The present study aimed to describe and analyze the career of Edith Magalhães Fraenkel and her important legacy to Brazilian nursing. The methodology chosen was a documentary analysis of her areas of participation based on documents of the Historical Cultural Center of Iberian-American School of Nursing of the University of São Paulo (Universidade de São Paulo, USP) and in the Rectory of the same University. The following thematic topics were categorized: preparation for leadership, moving to São Paulo, creation of the School of Nursing of USP, event organization, and unique developments at the end of her career.

This experience report had as purpose to describe the evaluation process in curriculum clerckship of nursing administration in the Nursing Course of the School of Nursing at the University of São Paulo, in the light of dialectical methodology. In this perspective, knowledge is constructed in three stages: síncrese, analysis and synthesis, in which the pedagogical task of the teacher is mediating the steps of mobilization, construction and synthesis of knowledge through the doubt and criticism. It was concluded that assessment of learning valued interpersonal relations and participation of the subjects involved, through the host and establishment of links in the process, encouraging the development of knowledge from the practice of creating problem situations constructive and meaningful, developing multiple competences.

The objective of this study was to identify and analyze nurses' perceptions about diseases that are treated by acupuncture, taking into consideration: (1) the diseases of nurses who had received acupuncture treatment; (2) nurses' diseases which might be treated by acupuncture; (3) suggestions of diseases treatable by acupuncture. This study aimed to know and understand the actions of nursing auxiliaries and technicians who work in the intensive care unit of the school hospital at the University of São Paulo in relation to ethical events. Data were collected through interviews with eight nursing auxiliaries and technicians (NAs and NTs), with experience with ethical events, and were analyzed according to sociological phenomenology. Participants' experiences permitted to uncover the following concrete categories of meaning: minimization of the risk in these events for patients, openness/dialog within the nursing team, nurses' guidance and supervision of activities performed by NAs and NTs, valuing justice in interpersonal relationships, and respecting the right of patients to be informed about such events.

This study aimed at identifying characteristics of ethical occurrences related to nursing care in a large private hospital in the city of São Paulo. There were 190 occurrences reported to the hospital's Nursing Ethical Committee (NEC) between 1995 and 2004. Most occurrences caused no damages to the patient, the health institution, the nursing staff or the professional involved.

Efforts to ensure the implementation of nurses prescribing medications have been a challenge in different parts of the world. This paper aimed at describing how this issue has been accomplished in some countries and reflecting about nursing professional legislation in Brazil in relation to this subject. Data from the International Council of Nurses (ICN) and the Ministry of Health Programs on Public Health show the need for a stronger political action by nurses and their institutional representations in order to create a legislation to better define their scope and functions in relation to prescription of medicines.
