Clinical impact of MRI-detected additional lesions in breast cancer patients with neoadjuvant systemic therapy at the Netherlands cancer institute.

Background: In breast cancer patients treated with neoadjuvant systemic therapy (NST), MRI is used pre- and post-NST for response monitoring. The relevance of additional MRI-detected lesions in these patients is unclear. Therefore, we aimed to assess the impact of pre-NST MRI-detected additional lesions on surgical treatment and outcome.
