Background: Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) generally has a good prognosis but may have an aggressive course, particularly in the elderly. Standard treatment consists of radioactive iodine and thyrotropin suppression with superphysiological doses of thyroid hormone. Other modalities are less commonly used.

[Three cases of successfully resectable advanced gastric cancer responding to TS-1 plus CDDP].

We have experienced three gastric cancer cases successfully treated by the combination therapy of CDDP and TS-1. Case 1: 65-year-old man, a type 4 gastric cancer with huge abdominal para-aortic lymphnodes. Case 2: 74-year-old woman, a type 3 gastric cancer was found with obstructive jaundice.
