Introduction: We aim to perform a root cause analysis (RCA) of the non-diagnostic (ND) category of the Milan System for Reporting Salivary Gland Cytopathology.

Methods: The salivary gland fine needle aspiration (FNA) samples with ND diagnosis and corresponding surgical resections from 2013 to 2023, in the age group of 18 years and above, were included in the cohort for RCA. The cytology and surgical resection slides of cases from this RCA cohort were reviewed.

Malakoplakia is a rare granulomatous disease characterized histologically by Michaelis-Gutmann bodies and sheets of macrophages with granular eosinophilic cytoplasm. While it most commonly affects the genitourinary tract, it can manifest in various locations, including cutaneous sites. This report details a rare example of scrotal malakoplakia in an 82-year-old man with a history of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, developing 7 months post-lung transplant, during ongoing chronic immunosuppressive therapy.

The current scoping review aims to map the existing research on aided augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) interventions in India, identify the gaps in the existing literature, and guide future research priorities. However, data analysis of large non-cleavable crosslink studies is still a mostly unsolved problem due to its n-squared complexity. We here introduce an algorithm for the identification of non-cleavable crosslinks implemented in our crosslinking search engine MS Annika that is based on sparse matrix multiplication and allows for proteome-wide searches on commodity hardware.
