Background: The purpose of the present study was to analyze the etiology, incidence, pattern, and treatment modalities of patients with maxillofacial fractures treated at the Department of Dentistry of a medical college in Pondicherry during the period between June 2011 and June 2019.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective epidemiological study of 277 patients treated for maxillofacial fractures between June 2011 and June 2019 was performed. Data regarding age, gender, etiology, site of the fracture, time of injury, presence of associated injuries, treatment modalities, and complications were recorded.
A 26-year-old woman presented at 26 weeks of pregnancy with severe mitral regurgitation (MR) and cardiogenic shock in the setting of profound hyperthyroidism. An intra-aortic balloon pump was placed, and surgical intervention was considered. However, with management of thyrotoxicosis and delivery, complete resolution of MR and cardiogenic shock was achieved.

Nomograms combine multiple variables and provide an objective prediction of outcomes. Two nomograms have been previously described and validated in two studies from the same geographical area.

We focus on describing our timeline, continuously evolving actions, observations, and challenges. With guidance from the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), our institutional epidemiologist, and key multidisciplinary faculty members, we evaluated emerging national data as well as expert opinions to identify issues and challenges to create action plans.

Management of these patients presents obstetric, anesthetic, and logistical challenges. We report our experience in the management of cesarean delivery in a parturient with a BMI of 112 kg m.

A study was performed to investigate the most commonly associated nodule-associated bacteria and the rhizospheric microorganisms associated with the Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) plant. Isolation of nonrhizobial isolates from root nodules of Fenugreek was carried out along with the rhizospheric isolates.

Present study deals with the isolation of putative endophytes from the surface sterilized root nodules of pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan) designated as non-rhizobial (NR) isolates. Three of these non-rhizobial isolates called NR2, NR4 and NR6 showed plant growth promotion with respect to increase in plant fresh weight, chlorophyll content, nodule number and nodule fresh weight when co-inoculated with the rhizobial bioinoculant strain IC3123.

A broad host range expression vector containing the Escherichia coli fhuA gene, encoding the outer membrane receptor for Fe-ferrichrome, was constructed. The plasmid construct (pGR1), designed to express fhuA under the lac promoter of E.

Results: We analyzed genomic DNA of 151 women with preeclampsia (72 Caucasians and 79 African-Americans) and 198 women with normal delivery (102 Caucasians and 96 African-Americans) for C825T polymorphism of GNbeta3 gene. The T-allele frequency in Caucasian women with preeclampsia was 0.
