Meaning in Life, Future Orientation and Support for Violent Radicalization Among Canadian College Students During the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic has increased levels of uncertainty and social polarization in our societies, compromising young people's capacity to envision a positive future and maintain a meaningful sense of purpose in life. Within a positive youth development framework, the present study investigates the associations of a positive future orientation, presence of and search for meaning in life, and support for violent radicalization (VR) in a diverse sample of Canadian college students. In addition, we investigate the moderating role of future orientation in the association between presence of and search for a meaning in life and support for VR.

Reinterventions following endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair: the learning curve of time.

Aim: The DREAM and EVAR-1 trial show a higher reintervention rate after endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) compared to open repair. Since the initiation of these trials, endovascular-graft design and the experiences with EVAR have evolved substantially. The aim of this study was to compare the need for reinterventions in our recent EVAR procedures with our early procedures.

Ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm: endovascular or open approach in a Dutch general hospital.

Aim: We compared the outcomes of 56 patients with a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm (RAAA) who underwent either open repair or emergency endovascular aneurysm repair (eEVAR) in a general hospital. It seems feasible that the availability of eEVAR for treatment of RAAA could lead to a decrease in hospital mortality.

Methods: We analyzed all admitted patients with a RAAA, between January 2006 and April 2008, eEVAR is compared to open repair.

Endovascular Treatment of an Axillary Pseudoaneurysm Following a Traumatic Shoulder Dislocation.

A pseudoaneurysm following a shoulder dislocation is considered rare. We report here a case of an 82-yearold man who suffered from vascular and neurological injury due to an axillary pseudoaneurysm following anterior dislocation of the left shoulder. An emerging swelling in the shoulder region was caused by a hematoma and a slowly bleeding pseudoaneurysm in combination with reactive swelling of the soft tissues.

Surgical removal of an infected aortic endoprosthesis using a wire cutter.

The purpose of this study is to report a new method of removing an infected endoprosthesis from the abdominal aorta using a wire cutter. A 65-year-old man with a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm was admitted to our hospital. He was treated with an endovascular abdominal endoprosthesis and discharged one week later.

Aim: A large amount of Zenith endovascular stent complications is due to problems with the leg extensions. This kind of complication has never been reported in literature. Non invasive treatment of peri-aortic inflammation after endovascular graft.
