The greater advantages and wide applications of zero-dimensional nanodots inspire researchers to develop new materials. Therefore, novel borophene quantum dots (QDs) were prepared by a hydrothermal liquid exfoliation technique using water medium. The borophene QDs proved to be highly stable in water medium for more than 120 days.
