Electrochemical sensing of Hg(ii) in chicken liver and snail shell extract samples using novel modified SDA/MWCNT electrodes.

Heavy metal ions (Hg(ii)) were detected in fresh chicken liver and snail shell extract samples using novel synthesised SDA/MWCNT-modified electrodes. The synthesized ,'-bis(salicylaldehyde)-1,2-diaminobenzene (SDA) ligand was characterized FT-IR, H-NMR, and C-NMR spectroscopy. The hydroxyl and imine functional groups present in SDA act as active sites and bind to the MWCNT surface.

Green synthesis of cadmium oxide nanoparticles (CdO-NPS) using syzygium cumini: exploring industrial applications of CdO NPs as a corrosion inhibitor of mild steel in the acidic environment.

Potentiodynamic polarization (PDP), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and weight loss measurements were used to assess the effectiveness of CdO-NPs as a corrosion inhibitor for carbon steel in 0.5 M HSO. It was amply shown that as the concentration of CdO-NPs increased, the cathodic currents decreased and the active corroding sites were blocked completely.

As an emerging trend, non-pharmacological behavior management has gained immense research interest. By utilizing a bibliometric approach, this investigation aims to review the state of the non-pharmacological behavior management techniques research in pediatric dentistry. A Scopus search was done on non-pharmacological behavior management in pediatric dentistry, including literature from 1900 to 2022, using "Cited Reference Search" on 4/2/2022.

Dataset on farmers' perception of commodity futures market.

The commodity futures market plays a major role in reducing the price risk for the participants. Unfortunately, the farmers' participation in the futures market particularly from the Tamil Nadu region is very less. A survey was conducted using the interview method to identify the information sources used by farmers for taking pricing decisions, the awareness and perception of farmers towards the futures market, and its effect on preferred marketing alternatives.

Fabrication of low cost highly structured silver capped aluminium nanorods as SERS substrate for the detection of biological pathogens.

We report the fabrication of low cost highly structured silver (Ag) capped aluminium (Al) nanorods (NRs) as surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) substrate utilising the glancing angle deposition technique. The nano-capping of silver onto the Al NRs can concentrate the local electric field within the minimal volume that can serve as hotspots. The average size of the Ag nanocaps was 50 nm.

Leiomyosarcoma (LMS) of vascular origin is uncommon. This leiomyosarcoma is seen occurring from the tunica media of major blood vessels. Leiomyosarcoma of venous origin is five times more common those of arterial origin.

Clear cell adenocarcinoma of the urethra with inguinal lymph node metastases: A rare case report and review of literature.

Urethral cancer is a rare malignancy with urothelial subtype being the most common followed by adenocarcinoma. In women, the usual presentation is urinary retention and hematuria. Clear cell variety of adenocarcinoma is a rarer entity which usually has a better prognosis than other variants.

A Rare Case of Epithelioid Angiosarcoma Exhibiting Diagnostic Ambiguity.

Epithelioid angiosarcoma is a rare highly malignant tumor characterized by large cells with epithelioid features mimicking poorly differentiated carcinoma by its epithelial appearance. It arises from deep soft tissues of extremities or a variety of primary sites including thyroid, skin, and adrenals. Here is a case of epithelioid angiosarcoma of a 48-year-old female who presented with right supraclavicular swelling since 2 months of size 2 × 3 cm which was fixed, firm in consistency with no significant past, family, and personal history.

Immunological characteristics of PEP carboxylase from leaves of C3-, C4- and C3-C4 intermediate species of Alternanthera--comparison with selected C3- and C4- plants.

Immunological cross-reactivity of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase (PEPC) in leaf extracts of C3-, C4- and C3-C4 intermediate species of Alternanthera (along with a few other C3- and C4- plants) was studied using anti-PEPC antibodies raised against PEPC of Amaranthus hypochondriacus (belonging to the same family as that of Alternanthera, namely Amaranthaceae). Antibodies were also raised in rabbits against the purified PEPC from Zea mays (C4- monocot-Poaceae) as well as Alternanthera pungens (C4- dicot-Amaranthaceae). Monospecificity of PEPC-antiserum was confirmed by immunoprecipitation.

Ammonium ions stimulate in vitro the activity of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase from leaves of Amaranthus hypochondriacus, a C4 plant: evidence for allosteric activation.

Ammonium ions stimulated in vitro the activity of PEP carboxylase (PEPC) extracted from dark-adapted leaves of Amaranthus hypochondriacus. Maximum stimulation of 80 to 85% occurred at 50 microM ammonium chloride. There was a marginal inhibition of PEPC at 5 mM ammonium chloride.
