Targeted proteomics for the analysis of cultural heritage: application of broadband collision-induced dissociation mass spectrometry.

A broadband collision-induced dissociation (bbCID) fragmentation mode was proposed for liquid chromatography-mass spectrometric targeted analysis of tryptic peptides obtained from proteins in samples of decoration paint coating. In this approach, a mass spectrometric dataset contains the information on the parent and all fragment ions. This maintains a balance between the quantity of simultaneously acquired data and the sensitivity of the method, which is beneficial under coupling with analytical chromatography.

[Dynamics of quality-of-life in patients with torticollis treated with botulinum toxin A].

Parameters of quality of life (QOL) measured with the SF-36 questionnaire were studied in 91 patients with torticollis (ST) treated with botulinum toxin A. A control group comprised 50 subjects without ST. The QOL parameters were lower in patients compared to controls.

[Clinical effectiveness of delayed-action theophylline preparations].

Clinical efficiency of course treatment has been assessed for 5 long-acting drugs of theophylline series: retaphylline (Finland), theo-dur (Sweden), durophylline (Yugoslavia), theopek and theobilong (USSR). The drugs were tested in 139 patients with chronic++ bronchial obstruction. It was established that first-line therapy with theophylline should be started with low doses (400 mg/day) and last for 3 days to define individual sensitivity to theophylline drugs followed by increasing doses.

[A comparative study of the pharmacokinetics of oral preparations of theophylline].

The pharmacokinetics of five preparations of theophylline--euphylline and sustained-release forms (theo-dura, retaphylline, theopac and theobilong) was studied in 50 patients with the broncho-obstructive syndrome. Blood serum theophylline concentration was determined by high performance liquid chromatography. The main differences in the pharmacokinetic parameters manifested themselves in the period of half-absorption--the least one for euphylline and the greatest one for theopac.
