Purpose: To assess the marginal and internal fit of monolithic zirconia fixed dental prostheses (FDPs) comparing two different intraoral scanners (IOSs) and assessment methods.

Materials And Methods: A maxillary typodont with three prepared teeth allowed fabrication of five-unit high-translucency monolithic zirconia FDPs. The typodont was scanned with two IOSs: Cerec Omnicam and 3Shape TRIOS 3.

Background/purpose: Zirconia has recently become a popular material for fixed restorations. The purpose of this study was to use a digital workflow to fabricate monolithic zirconia fixed dental prostheses (FDPs) and assess the connection between variable connector sizes compared to their clinical performance.

Materials And Methods: Clinicians evaluated monolithic zirconia FDPs in 58 patients.

This report describes a digital workflow and two-year follow-up of an immediately loaded implant-retained overdenture using flapless surgery and a computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) surgical guide. A prosthetically-driven approach, utilising a three-dimensional (3D) planning software and a CAD/CAM surgical guide, was used to place four implants in the edentulous maxillary arch of a 59-year-old male patient. All four implants were inserted through the surgical guide without raising soft tissue flaps.

Tooth replacement rate is an important contributor to feeding ecology for polyphyodont animals. Dinosaurs exhibit a wide range of tooth replacement rates, mirroring their diverse craniofacial specializations, but little is known about broad-scale allometric or evolutionary patterns within the group. In the current broad but sparse dinosaurian sample, only three non-avian theropod tooth replacement rates have been estimated.

A previously healthy 37-year-old man had evaluation of abdominal pain, which had persisted after abrupt onset with fever and hematuria. Although the fever and hematuria had spontaneously resolved after 1 week, the abdominal pain had worsened over a 4-month period. Predicated upon computed tomography and with a presumed diagnosis of renal cell adenocarcinoma, left radical nephrectomy was done.
