We hypothesized that EtOH induces a shift in RNA ribosomal-engagement (RE) in PFC pyramidal neurons, and that many of these changes can be reversed using a PARP inhibitor. Mixed-methods assessed response, recruitment, retention, attrition and completion rates, adverse effects, trial feasibility and acceptability, preliminary effectiveness on worktime sitting, and described secondary outcomes.

A rare case of transient duodenal volvulus in an elderly patient.

Duodenal volvulus is an extremely rare condition, with few cases reported in the literature. We present the case of an 83-year-old man with spontaneous duodenal volvulus diagnosed on CT imaging. Findings included volvulus of the third part of the duodenum, the chjmirocteristic whirl pattern of the superior mesenteric vessels and medialisation of the gallbladder.

Evaluation of the accuracy of multiparametric MRI for predicting prostate cancer pathology and tumour staging in the real world: an multicentre study.

Robot-assisted abdominal wall excision of a PSMA-detected prostate cancer metastasis.

Recent advances in novel functional imaging techniques such as PSMA PET may now offer the ability to identify small volume metastases which may otherwise go undetected. The treatment of these lesions is controversial, particularly in the oligometastatic state. We report the case of an abdominal wall metastasis detected with PSMA imaging which we treated with surgical excision.

Epigenetic modulation of intestinal Na/H exchanger-3 expression.

Na/H exchanger-3 (NHE3) is crucial for intestinal Na absorption, and its reduction has been implicated in infectious and inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD)-associated diarrhea. Epigenetic mechanisms such as DNA methylation are involved in the pathophysiology of IBD. Whether changes in DNA methylation are involved in modulating intestinal NHE3 gene expression is not known.
