Hypertension is often associated with obesity. Uncontrolled hypertension can lead to uncorrected cardiac dysautonomia that makes cardiac repolarization abnormally prolonged. Modern dietary habits, stress, and bad lifestyle habits make young adults vulnerable to hazards of health.

Delays in any of these stages leads to chronic wounds, infections, and hypertrophic scarring. Burn wounds are particularly problematic, and may require intervention to ensure timely progression to reduce morbidity and mortality.

Background: Guidelines for the use of antiretroviral agents in adults and adolescents with HIV recommend that antiretroviral therapy (ART) be started as soon as possible. While rapid initiation of ART in adults with HIV has been well-described, there is relatively little information describing this approach for youth.

Hydrogen is one of the cleanest forms of energy carrier which can solve the twin problem of exhaustion of fossil fuels and climate change. The exploration of low-cost and earth-abundant electrocatalysts for hydrogen generation process is an emerging area of research. Profound catalyst tailoring with mutually contrast phases on a porous support for crafting large hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) active sites increases the catalytic activity in many folds.

Aim: Prison is an especially difficult environment for promoting oral health and leads to the exacerbation of unhealthy behaviors. This study set out to assess the impact of incarceration on nutritional status and oral health among the male prison inmates of Central Jail of Jaipur city, Rajasthan, India.
Material And Method: A cross sectional study was conducted among 181 male inmates.
Intensive agriculture involving high crop intensity, unavailability of organics, and higher use of straight fertilizers causes imbalanced use and deficiencies of several other macro and micronutrients. Nutrients supply through the integration of microbial consortium containing Gluconacetobater diazotrophicus, Trichoderma harzianum, and Pseudomonas fluorescens can reduce the requirements on the one hand and can also increase the response of chemical fertilizers. Thus we had planned the present experiment with the objectives (i) to determine the effect of integrated application of microbial consortium (MC) and NPK fertilizer on soil quality parameters and crop growth and yield attributes and (ii) to assess the effect of integration on agronomic efficiency of N, P and K and find out the possibilities for reduction in applied doses of NPK, if any.

The design part of such molecular systems is critical due to its influence in several properties associated with the photoswitches. In order to tune, and in the evaluation of the design-property relationship, we synthesized 18 tripodal systems with variations in the core, linkers, connectivity, and azo(hetero)arene photoswitches.

The present study aims to determine the impact of COVID-19 pandemic confinement on air quality among populous sites of four major metropolitan cities in India (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai) from January 1, 2020 to May 31, 2020 by analyzing particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10), nitrogen dioxide (NO), ammonia (NH), sulfur dioxide (SO), carbon monoxide (CO), and ozone levels. The most prominent pollutant concerning air quality index (AQI) was determined by Pearson's correlation analysis and unpaired Welch's two-sample t test was carried out to measure the statistically significant reduction in average AQI for all the four sites.

We developed a prototype agent-based model informed by data from an established LTC program targeting youth and young adults aged 13-24 in Memphis, Tennessee. We then tested two interventions to improve LTC in a simulated environment: expanding testing sites versus using current testing sites but improving direct referral to LTC staff from organizations providing testing, to understand the impact on timely linkage to care.

A stable fluoride-based poor solvate ionic liquid (SIL) comprising 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium (EMIM) cation and ethylene glycol (EG) was recently reported and demonstrated as a fluorinating agent. Herein, we performed calculations and molecular dynamics simulations to gain a microscopic understanding of the intermolecular interactions in this SIL in gas, liquid, and crystalline phases.

Aim: We sought to describe our early experience in the current era in India.
Background: This analysis evaluated patient-reported outcomes (PROs) to assess health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in the phase III MONALEESA-7 trial, which previously demonstrated improvements in progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) with ribociclib (cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6 inhibitor) + endocrine therapy (ET) compared with placebo + ET in pre- and perimenopausal patients with hormone-receptor-positive, HER2-negative (HR+/HER2-) advanced breast cancer (ABC).
Methods: The European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Quality of Life questionnaire C30 (QLQ-C30) and the EQ-5D-5L were used to evaluate HRQoL.
Results: EORTC QLQ-C30 assessments were evaluable for 335 patients in the ribociclib arm and 337 patients in the placebo arm.
Background: COVID-19 has now become a pandemic. From Wuhan, China, in December 2019 to European countries, USA and now it seems to gain a strong foothold in India. Both of the compounds consist of novel tetra- and penta-nuclear silver phosphonate basic building units. The dielectric constants are extremely large due to the charge separation of anionic metal phosphonate frameworks and cationic templated piperazine moieties in the compounds, as found for the first time in a hybrid organophosphate family.

Nanoporous magnesium-doped SnO and cobalt-doped SnO materials have been prepared via a novel sol-gel method. The X-ray diffraction patterns of Mg-doped SnO and Co-doped SnO completely match with those of pure SnO, which confirms the interstitial substitution of Mg and Co in the pristine SnO.

X-ray absorption near edge structure (XANES) and extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) analysis showed that heating under reducing conditions with methanol up to 400 °C produced MoO and FeMoO.

Background: Single-center reports of central line-associated bloodstream infection (CLABSI) and the subcategory of mucosal barrier injury laboratory-confirmed bloodstream infection (MBI-LCBI) in pediatric hematology oncology transplant (PHO) patients have focused on the inpatient setting. Characterization of MBI-LCBI across PHO centers and management settings (inpatient and ambulatory) is urgently needed to inform surveillance and prevention strategies.
Methods: Prospectively collected data from August 1, 2013, to December 31, 2015, on CLABSI (including MBI-LCBI) from a US PHO multicenter quality improvement network database was analyzed.
This research is focused on the use of sol gel technique to synthesize amorphous SiO₂ hybrids derived from lab made CMC (made from sugarcane bagasse) and tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) comprising silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs). The dominant absorption peak in the order of 425 nm confirms the presence of Ag-NPs hybrid group owing to the surface Plasmon resonance (SPR). Ag-NPs hybrid characterization of was performed by Ultra violet-visible spectra (UV-Vis), Scanning electronic microscopy (SEM), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Particle size analyser (PSA), Energy Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).

Intra-bony bleed is often involved as a major aspect of blood loss associated with osteotomies, especially LeFort I osteotomy when performed during orthognathic surgery. This study evolved as a result of the increasing concern to attain a clear surgical field and reduce the duration of surgical procedure and the amount of blood loss associated with orthognathic surgery with the use of controlled hypotension.
