Alcohol Use and Abuse Among Family Caregivers of People Living with Dementia in the United States: A Scoping Review.

The population of the United States is rapidly aging due to a number of factors, such as lower fertility rates and increases in life expectancy. Globally, dementia is a leading cause of disability among older adults, affecting approximately 50 million people. Family caregivers, who often have to sacrifice their health and well-being, provide most of the care needed by older adults living with dementia.
