Working memory capacity (WMC) refers to the ability to maintain information in short-term memory while attending to the immediate environment, and has been associated with emotional states. Yet, research on the link between WMC and emotion in naturalistic settings is growing and inconsistencies have been observed. In the current study ( = 109), we directly replicated the procedures of a prior experience sampling study (Garrison & Schmeichel, 2022), which found that higher WMC attenuates the relationship between stressful events in daily life and negative affect.

We identified a novel mouse plasmacytoid dendritic cell (pDC) lineage derived from the common lymphoid progenitors (CLPs) that is dependent on expression of . These CLP-derived pDCs, which we refer to as 'B-pDCs', have a unique gene expression profile that includes hallmark B cell genes, normally not expressed in conventional pDCs. Purpose Of Review: The goals of this study were to identify smartphone apps targeting youth tobacco use prevention and/or cessation discussed in the academic literature and/or available in the Apple App Store and to review and rate the credibility of the apps. We took a multiphase approach in a non-systematic review that involved conducting parallel literature and App Store searches, screening the returned literature and apps for inclusion, characterizing the studies and apps, and evaluating app quality using a standardized rating scale.

Background: Treponeme-Associated Hoof Disease (TAHD) is a polybacterial, multifactorial disease affecting free-ranging wild elk (Cervus canadensis) in the Pacific Northwest. Previous studies have indicated a bacterial etiology similar to digital dermatitis in livestock, including isolation of Treponema species from lesions. The lesions appear to progress rapidly from ulcerative areas in the interdigital space or along the coronary band to severe, ulcerative, necrotic, proliferative lesions under-running the hoof wall, perforating the sole, and contributing to hoof elongation, deformity, and overgrowth.

Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) are organic chemical substances that threaten human health and the planet's ecosystems due to their toxicity and their ability to remain intact for a long time, wide distribution throughout the environment, and accumulation and magnification in living organisms through the food chain. Discarded products from landfills and dumpsites are potential sources of POPs due to their persistence for several decades and constant release to surrounding environment. POPs in aquatic systems signal input predominantly from landfills, wastewater treatment plants, sewage, and urban runoff, suggesting a research gap to guide policies to address these unabated releases.

This preliminary limited study considers the possibility of the same source identification of consecutively 3D printed components using polymer filament by the examination of deposition artifacts as distinctive macroscopic and microscopic surface characteristics upon the surface of 3D printed objects. Hot-end printer nozzle deposition using polymer filaments can create distinctive surface characteristics upon 3D FDM-printed manufactured objects that can be identified, examined, and compared. Memory B cells (MBCs) and plasma antibodies against () merozoite antigens are important components of the protective immune response against malaria. To gain understanding of how responses against develop in these two arms of the humoral immune system, we evaluated MBC and antibody responses against the most abundant merozoite antigen, full-length merozoite surface protein 1 (PfMSP1), in individuals from a region in Uganda with high transmission. Our results showed that PfMSP1-specific B cells in adults with immunological protection against malaria were predominantly IgG classical MBCs, while children with incomplete protection mainly harbored IgM PfMSP1-specific classical MBCs.
