A Prospective Multi-centric Study of Acceptance, Insertion and Follow-Up of Postpartum Insertions of IUCD.

Purpose Of The Study: The unmet need for contraception in the postpartum period is a major challenge in our country. Unintended pregnancies are highest in the first year after birth, and postpartum IUCD insertion is an effective way to counter this problem. This study was planned to build up data for acceptance and follow-up of postpartum IUCD insertions.

Isolated Cardiac Paraganglioma Encasing Right Coronary Artery With Evidence of Succinyl Dehydrogenase Gene Mutation: Successful Management Using Multimodality Imaging.

This report involves a young woman with isolated cardiac paraganglioma that was diagnosed using 68Gallium-labeled [1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7,10-tetraacetic acid]-1-NaI3-octreotide positron emission tomographic scintigraphy. For the preoperative evaluation, multimodality imaging accurately described the anatomic location of the tumor and its relationship with the surrounding tissues. The patient underwent successful surgical resection of the tumor along with right coronary artery bypass grafting.

Despite being discovered around the same time as benzyne and offering a number of synthetically advantageous features, strained cyclic allenes have seen relatively little use in chemical synthesis. We report a concise total synthesis of the manzamine alkaloid lissodendoric acid A, which hinges on the development of a regioselective, diastereoselective, and stereospecific trapping of a fleeting cyclic allene intermediate.

Loss of epigenetic information as a cause of mammalian aging.

All living things experience an increase in entropy, manifested as a loss of genetic and epigenetic information. In yeast, epigenetic information is lost over time due to the relocalization of chromatin-modifying proteins to DNA breaks, causing cells to lose their identity, a hallmark of yeast aging. Using a system called "ICE" (inducible changes to the epigenome), we find that the act of faithful DNA repair advances aging at physiological, cognitive, and molecular levels, including erosion of the epigenetic landscape, cellular exdifferentiation, senescence, and advancement of the DNA methylation clock, which can be reversed by OSK-mediated rejuvenation.

Management of grade II and III furcation defects with intramarrow penetration along with indigenously prepared DFDBA and amniotic membrane: a clinical and radiographic study.

The Effect of Leflunomide as Adjunctive Therapy With a TNF Inhibitor in Pediatric Patients With Uveitis.

Purpose: To describe the effectiveness of leflunomide as adjunctive therapy with anti-tumor necrosis factor (anti-TNF) agents in pediatric patients with uveitis who are not able to tolerate methotrexate.

Methods: A retrospective case series was performed of pediatric patients who were receiving leflunomide in conjunction with anti-TNF agent therapy after intolerance to a combination of methotrexate with anti-TNF therapy. Dose and duration of methotrexate, leflunomide, and anti-TNF therapy were recorded.

Impact of COVID-19 lockdown on ambient noise levels in seven metropolitan cities of India.

The paper analyzed the impact of lockdown on the ambient noise levels in the seventy sites in the seven major cities of India and ascertained the noise scenario in lockdown period, and on the Janta Curfew day in comparison to the pre-lock down period and year 2019 annual average values. It was observed that the majority of the noise monitoring sites exhibited a decrement in ambient day and night equivalent noise levels on the national Janta Curfew day and Lockdown period as compared with the normal working days attributed to the restricted social, economical, industrial, urbanization activity and reduced human mobility. A mixed pattern was observed at a few sites, wherein the ambient day and night equivalent noise levels during Janta curfew day and Lockdown period had been reported to be higher than that on the normal working days.

Post-transplant idiopathic immune complex membrano-proliferative glomerulonephritis: Characteristics and outcomes.

Background: There is little published information on the natural history and the treatment of immune complex membrano-proliferative glomerulonephritis (IC-MPGN) of unknown cause in the transplanted kidney.

Materials And Methods: From 01/2004 to 12/2018, 41 patients had the diagnosis of post-transplant idiopathic IC-MPGN and were included in the study.
