Background: COVID-19 cutaneous manifestations have been recently described and classified in five different clinical patterns, including acral erythema-edema (pseudo-chilblain), maculopapular exanthemas, vesicular eruptions, urticarial lesions, and livedo or necrosis.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to examine the skin of hospitalized patients with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 disease and describe the real prevalence of skin manifestations.

Methods: A cross-sectional study, which included hospitalized patients in Cruces University Hospital from April 14-30, 2020, with a laboratory-confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 (with polymerase chain reaction and/or serology tests), was conducted.

Scombroid poisoning is a common cause of food poisoning worldwide. It is caused by ingestion of oily fish contaminated with bacteria that trigger the formation of high concentrations of histamine. Scombroid poisoning manifests mainly as a skin complaint (flushing that spreads downward and/or an erythematous urticarial rash affecting the face and upper trunk).

We present the case of a patient with type T non-Hodgkin lymphoma, in clinical remission after treatment with chemo and radiotherapy, who was hospitalized due to hemorrhagic and necrotic skin lesions on his right hand and a clinical suspicion of paraneoplasic vasculitis. Nonetheless, study of the patient and complementary testing led to the diagnosis of disseminated tuberculosis with skin and lung involvement (cutaneous milliary tuberculosis). Anti-tuberculosis treatment was initiated with a satisfactory resolution of symptoms and signs.

Hand eczema is a very frequent pathology in Dermatology. We report the case of a 65-year-old woman who developed a photoallergic eczema on her hands due to benzydamine present in her gynecological washing solution. It is probably an under-diagnosed cause of hand dermatitis.
