Background: The increasing availability of neuroimaging tests has led to a rise in the identification of incidental unruptured intracranial aneurysms (UIAs). Their management is under debate, with no consensus on their follow-up strategy, which can cause anxiety in patients. Our aim is to evaluate the impact of diagnosis and imaging follow-up on daily activities and quality of life.

We aimed to assess the accessibility of paediatric cardiac surgery (PCS) to children <18 years of age in 2016 in the South American country of Colombia.
Methods: In Bogotá, Colombia, a multi-national team used cross-sectional and retrospective cohort study designs to adapt and evaluate 4 health system indicators at the national level: first, the population with timely geographic access to an institution providing PCS; second, the number of paediatric cardiac surgeons; third, this specialized procedure volume and its national distribution; and fourth, the 30-day perioperative mortality rate after PCS in Colombia.
Purpose: To report visual, clinical and radiological outcomes of three patients with fibromuscular dysplasia (FMD) that presented different ocular ischemic events, supported by different multimodal imaging.
Methods: A retrospective study including patients who attended a tertiary referral hospital from July 2016 to June 2019 referring acute visual loss and later diagnosed of FMD. Ophthalmological examination included best corrected visual acuity (BCVA), biomicroscopy, fundoscopy, fluorescein angiography (FA), and macular and retinal nerve fiber layer spectral domain optic coherence tomography (SD-OCT).
Persons with HIV can often present cognitive disorders such as those related to executive functioning, which could affect the daily life activities. The present study was designed to explore the predictive relationship between executive functions according to Miyake's model and the basic and instrumental skills of everyday functioning in a group of persons with HIV (PWH). Participants were recruited from outpatient treatment Hospital and assessed using a neuropsychological battery, a modified version of the Lawton and Brody basic and instrumental activities of daily life (ADL) scale and the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS).

This conduit has a small fenestration that shunts the blood from right to left in case the pulmonary blood flow is limited; namely, if the pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR) is increased then the shunt is increased. Bacteria may bypass the pulmonary circulation and easily get access to the systemic circulation (bacteremia).

However this has led to fungicide resistance in the field. The present study evaluated the activities of six fungicides against the mycelial growth by determination of EC50 values of strains collected from fields with different fungicide management programs: Rustic management (RM) without applications and Intensive management (IM) more than 25 fungicide application/year.

The objective of this study was to develop a new nitinol implant for the closure of a PDA and to evaluate its safety and efficacy in an animal model. The design consists of a device that promotes thrombus formation in the PDA.

Predictive factors for effective SNE have not yet been identified with precision. We have prospectively evaluated response to SNE in a series of patients with advanced PD to study the factors that influence clinical improvement after functional surgery.

Yet, the exact mechanisms of operation of the neurological structures involved in movement are not fully understood.
Development: It seems clear that the basal ganglia play an important role, fundamentally in pseudo-automatic movements, but because they are interconnected with many other structures it is difficult to gain a precise understanding of their individual functions.
Introduction: At present, cholinesterase inhibitors constitute the basis for therapy of Alzheimer's disease (AD); these drugs were rationally introduced given the loss of central cholinergic neurotransmission, even though there are many other systems affected in AD, including glutamatergic pathway.
Development: In addition to the loss of central cholinergic neurotransmission, biochemical evidence suggests glutamatergic dysfunction in AD and thus, therapeutic strategies directed at the glutamatergic system may be useful. These drugs include milacemide, cicloserine and ampakines (positive modulation) and memantine (negative modulation).
El Burgo de Osma (Soria, Spain) offers one of the best preserved medieval structures in Spain. The interior of the building conserves abundant samples of Romanesque art, and the tomb in polychromatic stone of the founder, San Pedro de Osma. We have classified those pieces of art that could represent descriptions of movement disorders.
