We present the clinical case of an 87-year-old man who presents with chronic prurigo without skin treatment. The aim is to apply an individualized care plan that allows, based on the latest evidence, to achieve skin integrity, which is deteriorated, and improve its quality of life due to the current failure toad dress the pathology. Several NANDA International diagnostic labels were identified using the NNNConsult online tool and the expected outcomes were plan along with the planned nursing interventions.

Methods: Procedural data were collected and incorporated into the REDCap platform by all participating centers through a specific form.
Results: There were 104 participating centers in 2023 compared with 103 in 2022.
Introduction: Data on implants of cardiac pacing systems in Spain in 2023 are presented.
Methods: The registry is based on the information provided by centers to the recording platform of the Heart Rhythm Association after device implantations, through Cardiodispositivos, the online platform of the National Registry. Other information sources include: a) data transfers from the manufacturing and marketing industry; b) the European pacemaker patient card; and c) local databases submitted by the implanting centers.
Introduction: Adherence to the Mediterranean diet (Dietmed) exerts protective effects on cardiovascular disease (CVD). In the Lower Extremity Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) there are fewer studies that analyze these data.
Objective: To determine adherence to Dietmed and dietary habits in patients with PAD, according to a history of CVD (coronary and/or cerebral ischaemic pathology) and according to the ankle-brachial index (ABI ≥ or <0,5).
: To compare complications associated with percutaneous gastrostomies performed using PUSH and PULL techniques, whether endoscopic (PEG) or radiological (PRG), in a tertiary-level hospital. : This was a prospective observational study. Adult patients who underwent percutaneous PULL or PUSH gastrostomy using PEG or PRG techniques at the Virgen del Rocio University Hospital and subsequently followed up in the Nutrition Unit between 2009-2020 were included.

Chromatin is now regarded as a heterogeneous and dynamic structure occupying a non-random position within the cell nucleus, where it plays a key role in regulating various functions of the genome. This current view of chromatin has emerged thanks to high spatiotemporal resolution imaging, among other new technologies developed in the last decade. In addition to challenging early assumptions of chromatin being regular and static, high spatiotemporal resolution imaging made it possible to visualize and characterize different chromatin structures such as clutches, domains and compartments.

Methods: Retrospective observational study. Patients who underwent gastrostomy at the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital between 1995 and 2021 were included.
In the landscape of colorectal cancer treatment, classical chemotherapeutic agents such as 5-fluorouracil, capecitabine, irinotecan, oxaliplatin, trifluridine, and tipiracil have historically played a pivotal role. This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the top 100 most influential articles focusing on these classic chemotherapy drugs in the management of colorectal cancer. With this, we shed light on their current importance, despite the emergence of new therapeutic targets and treatments in the field of oncology.

However, the implementation of RM is still suboptimal. This study aimed to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the rates of CIED implants and RM activations in Spain.

Objectives: The objectives of this study were to evaluate the mechanism of inhibition of atrioventricular conduction produced by ivabradine and to determine its efficacy and safety in atrial fibrillation.
Purpose: Obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) and cardiac conduction disorders are pathologies with a rising prevalence due to increased life expectancy. Upper airway patency is affected by environmental factors that may be associated with seasonal periods. The ability to record the degree of nocturnal apnoea on a daily basis may provide a more accurate picture of seasonal variability.

Aims: To analyse gluten exposures of coeliac patients on GFD for at least 24 months using different monitoring tools and its impact on duodenal histology at 12-month follow-up and evaluate the interval of determination of urinary gluten immunogenic peptides (u-GIP) for the monitoring of GFD adherence.
Methods: Ninety-four patients with CD on a GFD for at least 24 months were prospectively included.

Background: Removing lumen-apposing metal stents (LAMSs) may be difficult and even harmful, but these features have seldom been analyzed. We aimed to generate a comprehensive assessment of the feasibility and safety of LAMS retrieval procedures.
Methods: A prospective multicenter case series including all technically successfully deployed LAMSs between January 2019 and January 2020 that underwent endoscopic stent removal.
Aim: To assess the efficacy and safety of the application, during stoma hygiene, of a pH-neutral gel containing organic EVOO (oEVOO) for the maintenance of peristomal skin integrity.
Method: Patients with a colostomy or ileostomy were enrolled in a pilot randomized controlled trial and assigned treatment with a pH-neutral gel made from natural products including oEVOO or usual stoma hygiene gel. The primary outcome was three domains of abnormal peristomal skin: Discolouration, Erosion and Tissue overgrowth.
We propose this variant of the clip technique as a method that assist traction during endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD): traction on the mucosa plane using an hemoclip carrying a surgical silk and three rubber bands, before the incision, to allow easier access to the submucosa space. We propose this variant with the intention of facilitating access to ESD quickly and safely for beginners.

Methods: Patients with CRT devices were included from January 2012 to April 2019. We divided the sample into 2 groups, those with age ≥ 75 years old and those younger.
Repair of DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) is crucial for genome integrity. A conserved response to DSBs is an increase in chromatin mobility that can be local, at the site of the DSB, or global, at undamaged regions of the genome. Here, we address the function of global chromatin mobility during homologous recombination (HR) of a single, targeted, controlled DSB.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe primary functions of the eukaryotic nucleus as a site for the storage, retrieval, and replication of information require a highly dynamic chromatin organization, which can be affected by the presence of DNA damage. In response to double-strand breaks (DSBs), the mobility of chromatin at the break site is severely affected and, to a lesser extent, that of other chromosomes. The how and why of such movement has been widely studied over the last two decades, leading to different mechanistic models and proposed potential roles underlying both local and global mobility.

This study analyzes the prognostic value, in early pancreatic cancer, of single circulating tumor cell (CTC) and CTC clusters from the central venous catheter (CVC) and portal blood (PV).
Methods: In total, 7 mL of PV and CVC blood from 35 patients with early pancreatic cancer were analyzed.
