Background: Intraprocedural identification of intramural septal substrate for ventricular tachycardia (ISS-VT) in nonischemic cardiomyopathy (NICM) is challenging. Delayed (>40 ms) transmural conduction time (DCT) with right ventricular basal septal pacing has been previously shown to identify ISS-VT.

Objectives: This study sought to determine whether substrate catheter ablation incorporating areas of DCT may improve acute and long-term outcomes.

The first search exploiting the vector boson fusion process to probe heavy Majorana neutrinos and the Weinberg operator at the LHC is presented. The search is performed in the same-sign dimuon final state using a proton-proton collision dataset recorded at sqrt[s]=13  TeV, collected with the CMS detector and corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 138  fb^{-1}. The results are found to agree with the predictions of the standard model.

Objective: Clinical data's confidential nature often limits the development of machine learning models in healthcare. Generative adversarial networks (GANs) can synthesise realistic datasets, but suffer from mode collapse, resulting in low diversity and bias towards majority demographics and common clinical practices. This work proposes an extension to the classic GAN framework that includes a variational autoencoder (VAE) and an external memory mechanism to overcome these limitations and generate synthetic data accurately describing imbalanced class distributions commonly found in clinical variables.

New sets of parameter tunes for two of the colour reconnection models, quantum chromodynamics-inspired and gluon-move, implemented in the pythia  8 event generator, are obtained based on the default CMS pythia  8 underlying-event tune, CP5. Measurements sensitive to the underlying event performed by the CMS experiment at centre-of-mass energies and 13, and by the CDF experiment at 1.96 are used to constrain the parameters of colour reconnection models and multiple-parton interactions simultaneously.

A measurement of the jet mass distribution in hadronic decays of Lorentz-boosted top quarks is presented. The measurement is performed in the lepton + jets channel of top quark pair production () events, where the lepton is an electron or muon. The products of the hadronic top quark decay are reconstructed using a single large-radius jet with transverse momentum greater than 400.

A search is reported for pairs of light Higgs bosons () produced in supersymmetric cascade decays in final states with small missing transverse momentum. A data set of LHC collisions collected with the CMS detector at and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138 is used. The search targets events where both bosons decay into pairs that are reconstructed as large-radius jets using substructure techniques.

Ionized water has been reported to contribute to the tissue repair process and wound healing. Water purifiers can generate ionized water by means of activated charcoal with silver and minerals, the main purpose of which are to reduce microbiological and physicochemical contaminants. Moreover, when water is subjected to a magnetic field an organization of water molecules occurs due to the presence of mineral salts.

Unlabelled: Percutaneous osteosynthesis of acetabular fractures with quadrilateral plate involvement using an infra-pectineal plate through a new paramedial approach using cadaveric specimens.

Background: Intrapelvic approaches and infrapectineal plates have been used since the mid-nineties to solve Quadrilateral Plate osteosynthesis, with some problems in applying screws in the correct direction and difficulty in fracture reduction. We describe a minimally invasive paramedial approach and new ways to fix infrapectineal plates using one-step osteosynthesis (reduction and fixation).

Fourteen Syrah red wines with different initial composition and antioxidant properties (polyphenols, antioxidant capacity, voltammetric behaviour, colour parameters and SO) were selected. Three different accelerated ageing tests (AATs) were then performed on these wines: thermal test at 60 °C (60 °C-ATT), enzymatic test with laccase (Laccase-ATT) and chemical test with HO (HO-ATT). The results showed high correlations between the initial phenolic composition and antioxidant properties of the samples.

Early diagnosis of HIV is still a challenge. Emergency Departments (EDs) suppose ideal settings for the early detection of HIV, since patients with high prevalence of hidden HIV infection are frequently attending those services. In 2020, the Spanish Society of Emergency and Emergency Medicine (SEMES) published a series of recommendations for the early diagnosis of patients with suspected HIV infection and their referral and follow-up in the EDs as part of its "Deja tu huella" program.

The ICARUS collaboration employed the 760-ton T600 detector in a successful 3-year physics run at the underground LNGS laboratory, performing a sensitive search for LSND-like anomalous appearance in the CERN Neutrino to Gran Sasso beam, which contributed to the constraints on the allowed neutrino oscillation parameters to a narrow region around 1 eV. After a significant overhaul at CERN, the T600 detector has been installed at Fermilab. In 2020 the cryogenic commissioning began with detector cool down, liquid argon filling and recirculation.

Artificial molecular machines have captured the full attention of the scientific community since Jean-Pierre Sauvage, Fraser Stoddart, and Ben Feringa were awarded the 2016 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. The past and current developments in molecular machinery (rotaxanes, rotors, and switches) primarily rely on organic-based compounds as molecular building blocks for their assembly and future development. In contrast, the main group chemical space has not been traditionally part of the molecular machine domain.

IRF5-TNPO3 polymorphisms have previously been related to immune response, and TNPO3 plays a role in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-1 infection after nuclear import. Therefore, we analyzed the genetic association between IRF5-TNPO3 polymorphisms and the HIV elite control in long-term nonprogressors (LTNPs). We performed a retrospective cohort study on 183 LTNPs, who were antiretroviral therapy-naïve with CD4  ≥ 500 cells/mm , viral load ≤10 000 copies/mL, and asymptomatic over 10 years after HIV seroconversion.

Targeted protein degradation with molecular glue degraders has arisen as a powerful therapeutic modality for eliminating classically undruggable disease-causing proteins through proteasome-mediated degradation. However, we currently lack rational chemical design principles for converting protein-targeting ligands into molecular glue degraders. To overcome this challenge, we sought to identify a transposable chemical handle that would convert protein-targeting ligands into molecular degraders of their corresponding targets.
