Photobiomodulation (PBM) using 460 nm blue light has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on skin cancer cells. In this study, we used a continuous LED light source with a wavelength of 460 nm and designed various combinations of power density (ranging from 6.4 to 25.

Objective: The aim of this study was to construct a model used for the accurate diagnosis of Atopic dermatitis (AD) using pyroptosis related biological markers (PRBMs) through the methods of machine learning.

Method: The pyroptosis related genes (PRGs) were acquired from molecular signatures database (MSigDB). The chip data of GSE120721, GSE6012, GSE32924, and GSE153007 were downloaded from gene expression omnibus (GEO) database.

Article Synopsis
  • Glucose plays a crucial role in maintaining energy balance and overall homeostasis in the human body, but understanding its regulation is hampered by a lack of advanced imaging tools.* -
  • Researchers developed new diboronic acid probes that are water-soluble, highly sensitive, and biocompatible, making them effective for detecting glucose levels.* -
  • These probes not only differentiate glucose levels between normal and tumor cells but were also successfully used for imaging glucose in zebrafish, offering potential new tools for studying glucose-related diseases.*

Considering to the importance of hydrogen peroxide (HO) in a number of pathological processes and fluorescence sensor as a powerful tool for imaging and therapy of HO-related diseases, herein, a near-infrared fluorescent sensor for colorimetric and ratiometric detecting HO and viscosity, named NCR, was constructed and reported. Its long emission wavelength (670 nm) avoids the interference of biological autofluorescence. When NCR interacted with 10 equiv.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the value of high-frequency ultrasound and shear wave elastography (SWE) in quantitative differential diagnosis of high-risk and low-risk basal cell carcinomas (BCCs).

Methods: A total of 52 BCCs confirmed by surgical pathology were studied. Taking pathologic subtypes as reference, all the cases were classified as high-risk BCCs or low-risk BCCs.

Background: Spinal neurofibromatosis (SNF) is a related form of Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) with a low incidence. Here, we report a SNF patient with NF1 (OMIM *613113) mutation in a classic NF1 family to enrich the case data.

Methods: We presented the clinical data of a 27-year-old female suffered from SNF.

Chloride (Cl), a primary anion in the extracellular fluid, plays an important role in a variety of physiological and pathological processes, such as cell apoptosis and proliferation. However, the information about Cl in cancer cell apoptosis and chemoresistance is poorly understood. In the present study, we found that temozolomide (TMZ) treatment led to a decrease in intracellular concentration of Cl ([Cl]) in both U87 and TMZ-resistant U87/R glioma cells.

Objective: To study ultra-early pathophysiological changes of rabbit acute lung injury (ALI) caused by paraquat (PQ) and discuss the ultra-early protective effect of ulinastatin on rabbit ALI due to PQ.

Methods: 30 New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into a control group, a paraquat group and an ulinastatin intervention group with 10 rabbits in each group. For paraquat group and intervention group a single dose of paraquat (35 mg/kg) was injected intraperitoneally to establish rabbit models of ALI.
