Cerebral cavernous malformations (CCMs) are hemorrhagic vascular disorders with varied clinical and radiological presentations, occurring sporadically due to MAP3K3 or PIK3CA mutations or through inherited germline mutations of CCM genes. This study aimed to clarify the clinical, genetic, and pathological features of CCMs using a multicenter cohort across three Chinese centers. We analyzed 290 surgical specimens from symptomatic CCM patients, utilizing whole-exome sequencing, droplet digital PCR, and targeted panel sequencing, alongside immunohistology to examine genotypic and phenotypic differences.

Chinese university students show a high risk of eating disorder behaviors. This study aims to analyze the moderating effect of BMI on the relationships between body shape, attitudes, subjective norms, and eating disorder behavioral intentions among Chinese female university students using the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) model.

Introduction: As the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) gains popularity among Chinese young people, it has undergone a gradual transition from being perceived as a personality assessment tool to being regarded as a social label. The objective of this study was to ascertain whether the use of the MBTI as a social label has an impact on social anxiety among Chinese youth groups.
Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted on social media platforms to recruit Chinese youth aged 18 to 35.
Introduction: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of varied resistance training modalities on physical fitness components, body composition, maximal strength assessed by one-repetition maximum (1RM), isokinetic muscle functions of the shoulder and knee joints, and biomechanical properties of core muscles.
Methods: Forty participants were randomly assigned to four groups: control group (CG, n = 10), compound set training group (CSG, n = 10), pyramid set training group (PSG, n = 10), and superset training group (SSG, n = 10). Excluding the CG, the other three groups underwent an 8-week resistance training program, three sessions per week, at 60%-80% of 1RM intensity for 60-90 min per session.
Background: Eating disorders (EDs) have become a global public health concern among adolescents and young adults. However, Chinese university students exhibit a high prevalence of eating disorders. This study aims to investigate the effects of self-esteem (SE) and body shape (BS) on ED behaviors among Chinese university students.

They can be used for brazing heat exchangers, liquid tanks and corrosion resistant parts. In this work, the microstructures and thermal behaviors of Al-Si-Cu-Ni brazing materials with different contents were investigated, and the effect of brazing process on the microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of brazed joints produced under nitrogen-filled environment was examined.

The primary objective of this study is to investigate potential novel targeted therapies within the microenvironment of ACP tumors. Cancer-Associated Fibroblasts (CAFs) were identified in the craniopharyngioma microenvironment, notably in regions characterized by cholesterol clefts, wet keratin, ghost cells, and fibrous stroma in ACPs.

Methods: This is a retrospective descriptive study which included 15 patients of atlantoaxial instability whose age was less than 16 years at the time of clinical presentation.
Vascular malformation of the spinal cord in children is a rare and complicated disease spectrum. We will start from the basic spinal cord vascular anatomy and the controversial classification of this kind of disease. Then, we will elaborate the clinical manifestations, diagnostic imaging and treatment of pediatric spinal vascular malformations based on the practical experience of our center and from literature.

Objective: This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to examine the effects of PABI on improving PA and health-related outcomes among college students.
Methods: PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, Cochrane Library, and PsycINFO were searched for relevant literature from inception to 20 February 2022.
We made a reply to the letter to editor regarding "Fourth ventricle stent placement for treatment of type I Chiari malformation in children" by Prof. Afshari. He gave some comments on the primary cause of low-lying cerebellar tonsils and the risk of the fourth ventricle stent (FVS).

Obstruction of CSF circulation in the foramen magnum is the reason for the formation of the syringomyelia. Fourth ventricle stenting (FVS) could ensure the CSF flow from the fourth ventricle, which might represent an effective approach to achieve syringomyelia relief.

Extraneural metastasis of pediatric PFA ependymoma is rare. Herein, we present a case of a 9-year-old girl with PFA ependymoma characterized by a lack of trimethylation of histone H3 at lysine 27 and elevated chromosome X open reading frame 67 expression.

In an effort to clarify the electrically assisted deformation behavior of the Mg-Zn-Y alloy, electrically assisted tensile tests of MgZnY alloy sheets were carried out at different temperatures, current densities, duty ratios, and frequencies. The experimental results showed that, after the pulse current was applied (26.

This study focused on the preoperative clinical and radiologic parameters in CM-I patients with syringomyelia to find out the relationship between the patients' clinical status and the phenotypes of the syrinx with surgical outcome.
Methods: A continuous series of pediatric and adult patients with CM-I and syringomyelia from a prospectively maintained database in a single center were included, and we explored the related factors affecting the prognosis following decompression surgery through retrospective analysis of clinical presentations, imaging characteristics, and the morphological features of syringomyelia, to provide a clinical reference for the treatment of syringomyelia.
Objective: The cause and mechanism of epilepsy after endoscopic third ventriculostomy (ETV) have still remained elusive. This single-center study aimed to explore and analyze the risk factors of post-operative seizure in pediatric patients with hydrocephalus undergoing ETV.
Methods: Data of pediatric patients with hydrocephalus who were treated with ETV from October 1, 2015, to November 31, 2021, were retrospectively analyzed.

The bacterial nitroreductases (NRs) NfsB and NfsA are conserved homodimeric FMN-dependent flavoproteins that are responsible for the reduction of nitroaromatic substrates. Berberine (BBR) is a plant-derived isoquinoline alkaloid with a large conjugated ring system that is widely used in the treatment of various diseases. It was recently found that the gut microbiota convert BBR into dihydroberberine (dhBBR, the absorbable form) mediated by bacterial NRs.

However, commercially available filler metals for NOCOLOK flux brazing technology are usually required to be carried out at a relatively high temperature, causing the assembled heat exchanger to be partially molten or easily deformed. A new low-melting-point brazing filler metal Al-5.

This case series analyzes the clinical behavior, pathological presentation, location, and its association with neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2).
Methods: This case series consists of pediatric patients between the ages of 4 and 16 years who were hospitalized in the neurosurgical department of our hospital from 2012 to 2021 with different neurological symptoms and a literature review using the PubMed/MEDLINE database.
