Non-intellectual factors in mathematics are key psychological factors that influence students' cognitive activities and, consequently, their learning efficiency. While the assessment of these factors has gained increasing academic attention, research on the effective use of intelligent tools to assess and improve students' non-intellectual factors remains insufficient. This study employed intelligent technology to develop the Intelligent Assessment and Strategy Implementation System for Non-intellectual Factors in Mathematics Learning for Primary and Secondary School Students, which integrates an assessment index system, scales, regional norms, and personalized improvement strategies, enabling it to automatically generate bulk reports on students' non-intellectual factor scores across various dimensions and provide targeted improvement strategies.

Tissue engineering techniques using different seed cells and scaffolds to construct a neo-tissue open promising avenues for penile erectile structures repair and replacement and show great promise in the restoration of: structure, mechanical property, and function which matches the original tissue.
Methods: A comprehensive literature review was conducted by accessing the NCBI PubMed, Cochrane, and Google Scholar databases from January 1, 1990, to January, 1, 2022 using the search terms "Tissue engineering, Corpus cavernosum (CC), Tunica albuginea (TA), Acellular Matrix, Penile Reconstruction".

Background: Brain structural abnormalities have been associated with cognitive impairment in individuals with small cerebral vascular disease (CSVD). However, the molecular and cellular factors making the different brain structural regions more vulnerable to CSVD-related cognitive impairment remain largely unknown.
Materials And Methods: Voxel-based morphology (VBM) was performed on the structural magnetic resonance imaging data of 46 CSVD-related cognitive impairment and 73 healthy controls to analyze and compare the gray matter volume (GMV) between the 2 groups.
Advanced metastatic cardia cancer is an intractable malignance with poor prognosis. It is often accompanied by upper digestive tract obstruction, which seriously affects the quality of patients. Therefore, effective relief of eating obstruction is an important goal in the treatment of cardia cancer.

An RNA high-throughput sequencing and independent verification were conducted to identify potential circRNAs becoming the upstream regulator.
Methods: RNA sequencing was performed in whole-blood samples in cohort 1 (10 CSVD-CI and 8 CSVD with cognitively normal [CSVD-CN] patients).
Ferroptosis is considered an effective method to overcome drug-resistant tumors. This study aims to use three FDA-approved biological materials, human serum albumin, D-α-tocopherol succinate, and indocyanine green, to construct a novel biocompatible nanomaterial named HTI-NPs, exploring its effect in drug-resistant breast cancer (MCF-7/ADR cells). The research results indicate that HTI-NPs can selectively inhibit the proliferation of MCF-7/ADR cells , accompanied by upregulating transferrin receptor, generating reactive oxygen species, and downregulating glutathione peroxidase 4.

Epilepsy is a disorder characterized by an imbalance between excitability and inhibition, leading to uncontrolled hyperexcitability of neurons in the central nervous system. Despite the prevalence of epileptic seizures, the underlying mechanisms driving this hyperexcitability remain poorly understood. This review article aims to enhance our understanding of the mechanisms of epilepsy, with a specific focus on the role of cholecystokinin (CCK) in this debilitating disease.

Considering lipid signaling plays a crucial role in EVs-mediated cell-to-cell communication, we compared the lipid profile of EVs secreted from uninfected and EV71-infected cells (EVs-Mock and EVs-EV71) using the human rhabdomyosarcoma (RD) cell model. These two groups of EVs were purified by using size exclusion chromatography (SEC), respectively, and evaluated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), nanoparticle tracking technology (NTA), and Western blotting (WB).

Method: A multivariate Cox proportional hazards model and a propensity score matching (PSM) analysis were implemented to ensure equal baseline characteristics. The Kaplan‒Meier survival curves were employed for prognosis comparison between the two groups.
Background: Natural killer (NK) cells are proposed to participate in coronary artery disease (CAD) development. However, little is known about how CAD patients' NK cells respond to different stimulatory factors in terms of proliferation capability.
Methods And Results: Twenty-nine CAD patients' peripheral blood NK cells were isolated and individually treated with IL-2, IL-12, IL-15, IL-18, IL-21, cortisone acetate, hydrocortisone, or ascorbic acid for 36 hours, followed by cell cycle analysis using flow cytometry.
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are nano-sized bilayer vesicles that are shed or secreted by virtually every cell type. A variety of biomolecules, including proteins, lipids, coding and non-coding RNAs, and mitochondrial DNA, can be selectively encapsulated into EVs and delivered to nearby and distant recipient cells, leading to alterations in the recipient cells, suggesting that EVs play an important role in intercellular communication. EVs play effective roles in physiology and pathology and could be used as diagnostic and therapeutic tools.

While research has mainly focused on strains with phenotypic resistance, the impact of silent resistance genes has been largely overlooked. This study documents the first instance of silent bla in a cluster of clonally related carbapenem-susceptible K.

However, there have been various health concerns associated with humidifier use, largely due to aerosols generated during operation. Here, we investigated the size distribution, chemical composition, and charged fraction of aerosol particles emitted from commercial ultrasonic humidifiers.

However, the severity of WMH does not coincide fully with cognitive impairment. This study aims to explore the differences in the dynamic functional network connectivity (dFNC) of WMH with cognitively matched and mismatched patients, to better understand the underlying mechanisms from a quantitative perspective.

Methods: Retrospective analysis of 181 patients with NSCLC aged 80 and above treated in the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at Chaohu Hospital, affiliated with Anhui Medical University, from June 2019 to January 2024. Patients who received at least one cycle of combined Endo with anti-PD-1 were included based on inclusion criteria.
Backgrounds: Giant neurofibromas occurring in individuals diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) often result in considerable disfigurement, functional impairment, and diminished quality of life. Although debulking surgery poses inherent risks of complications, it remains the most efficacious approach to address these issues. The primary objective of this study was to share our surgical experience with giant neurofibromas in the extremities and trunk wall of NF1 patients which may help surgeons to minimize intraoperative bleeding and facilitate tumor excision.

Here, we conducted a Mendelian randomization study to investigate the effect of BP and antihypertensive drugs on cerebral small vessel disease.
Methods: We extracted single-nucleotide polymorphisms for systolic BP and diastolic BP from a genome-wide association study (N=757 601) and screened single-nucleotide polymorphisms associated with calcium channel blockers, thiazides, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, angiotensin receptor blockers, and β-blockers from public resources as instrumental variables.
Background: Colpocleisis is one of traditional surgical procedures for elderly and frail women with advanced pelvic organ prolapse. The occurrence of de novo urinary incontinence following colpocleisis was considered to impair the postoperative quality of life. The incidence of de novo urinary incontinence after colpocleisis has been reported to be ranging from 6.
