Objective: To explore how coping style and social support influence the quality of life in patients with impaired glucose tolerance, which act respectively as the internal and external mediating ways.
Methods: A total of 283 patients with impaired glucose tolerance from 6 Three-A hospitals in China were surveyed with self-rating anxiety scale, self-rating depression scale, trait coping style questionnaire, social support scale, and WHOQOL-BREF.
Results: Biographic data failed to predict the quality of life in patients with impaired glucose tolerance, while anxiety, depression, social support and coping style significantly influenced their quality of life.
In this study, an aqueous two-phase system (ATPS) with PEG and hydroxypropyl starch (HPS) was used to separate monoclonal antibody (mAb) from Chinese hamster ovary cell culture supernatant. The phase diagram of the PEG/HPS ATPS was determined, and the effects of NaCl addition were investigated. The results showed that NaCl addition could lead to a shift of the binodal curve and that phase separation would occur at higher PEG and HPS concentrations.

We investigate the evolution of the electron mobility of two different acceptors, [6,6]-phenyl C71 butyric acid methyl ester (PC71BM) and indene-C60 bisadduct (ICBA), in a poly(3-hexylthiophene) blend solar cell during a prolonged thermal aging process. High electron mobility does not correlate with the best device performance in our study of the P3HT:PC71BM and P3HT:ICBA systems. Very little changes are observed in the polymer crystallinity as a function of time.

Hundred and twenty patients with chronic primary insomnia were randomly assigned to three study groups (n = 40 per group): rTMS, medication, or psychotherapy treatment (both latter as controls). Poly(3-heptylselenophene)-stat-poly(3-hexylthiophene) is synthesized and characterized in terms of its crystallinity and performance in an organic photovoltaic (OPV) cell. Despite the random distribution of units along the polymer main chain, the material is semi-crystalline, as demonstrated by differential scanning calorimetry and wide-angle X-ray diffraction. Methods: One hundred and sixty-four samples with injured peripheral nerve (injury group) and 138 samples with normal peripheral nerve (control group) were collected and tested with methods of EMG and NCS respectively. The relevance rate of two methods were compared and statistical analysis was performed.

The nanostructure morphology and electron donor performance of a poly(3-hexylselenophene)-block-poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HS-b-P3HT) copolymer was studied in a photovoltaic device with a [6,6]-phenyl C61 butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) acceptor. P3HS-b-P3HT forms fiberlike nanostructures spontaneously, which leads to an initial optimal device performance. Furthermore the nanostructure morphology is not greatly affected by annealing, which leads to a device stability that outperforms P3HT, P3HS, or a P3HS/P3HT mixture under identical conditions.
