This paper addresses achieving the high time-bandwidth product necessary for low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) target detection and localization in complex multipath environments. Time bandwidth product is often limited by dynamic environments and platform maneuvers. This paper introduces data-driven wideband focusing methods for passive sonar that optimize parameterized unitary matrices to align signal subspaces across the frequency band without relying on wave propagation models which are subject to mismatch in complex multipath environments.

PALB2 interaction with DNA strongly enhances HR in cells, while the PALB2 DNA-binding domain (PALB2-DBD) supports DNA strand exchange . We determined that PALB2-DBD is intrinsically disordered beyond a single N-terminal α-helix.

This study compares clinical outcomes in patients receiving care at these remote sites to those at the primary site in Omaha.
Methods: Data were retrospectively reviewed for 151 patients who received first-line systemic therapy at VA sites in Omaha, Lincoln, or Grand Island between January 1, 2018, and December 31, 2020.
Background: Outpatient in-person clinic evaluation is the standard consultation practice for an initial referral for hemodialysis (HD) access. However, most factors predicting the complexity of first-time access surgery can be determined from history rather than physical exam. This study compares the outcomes of patients undergoing first-time arteriovenous fistula creation screened with a standardized preoperative phone interview and no preoperative clinic visit (SPEEDY group) to those opting for a standard in-person clinic visit.

Despite the ongoing advances in interventional strategies (surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and immunotherapy) for managing pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), the development of therapy refractory phenotypes remains a significant challenge. Resistance to various therapeutic modalities in PDAC emanates from a combination of inherent and acquired factors and is attributable to cancer cell-intrinsic and -extrinsic mechanisms. The critical determinants of therapy resistance include oncogenic signaling and epigenetic modifications that drive cancer cell stemness and metabolic adaptations, CAF-mediated stromagenesis that results in ECM deposition altered mechanotransduction, and secretome and immune evasion.

Methods: We performed a retrospective, matched cohort study of RA and RA-ILD within the Veterans Health Administration (VA) between 2000 and 2019. Patients with RA and RA-ILD were identified with validated administrative-based algorithms, then matched (up to 1:10) on age, gender, and VA enrollment year to individuals without RA.
Background: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) no longer are approved for second-line or later treatment of extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC), and have not been studied in combination with chemotherapy. Exploring the efficacy and safety of second-line or later immunotherapy for ES-SCLC is an urgent clinical question that needs to be addressed, and combination therapies are an important research direction. This study intended to investigate the efficacy and safety of the sintilimab in combination with chemotherapy as a second-line and beyond treatment option for ES-SCLC.

Nevertheless, the optimal duration of consolidation CPI remains unknown. Here, we characterized the relationship between circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) minimal residual disease (MRD) and clinical outcomes of patients with unresectable locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer treated on a phase 2 trial of short-course consolidation immunotherapy after CRT, with the goal of testing whether ctDNA may be able to identify patients who do not require a full year of treatment.
