Nonlinear frequency mixings have shown an alternative way to create new electromagnetic sources in frequency ranges that are difficult to access with conventional techniques. To simultaneously use the fundamental frequency pump beam and multiple harmonic signals generated in the same channel, a device capable of separating each frequency component is required. Here, we propose and experimentally demonstrate metasurface-based spatial filters for the pump frequency and multiple harmonic frequencies.

Spoof surface plasmons in corrugated metal surfaces allow tight field confinement and guiding even at low frequencies and are promising for compact microwave photonic devices. Here, we use metal-ink printing on flexible substrates to construct compact spoof plasmon resonators. We clearly observe multipole resonances in the microwave frequencies and demonstrate that they are still maintained even under significant bending.

One of the most challenging problems in recent antenna engineering fields is to achieve highly reliable beamforming capabilities in an extremely restricted space of small handheld devices. In this paper, we introduce a new perspective on single-radiator multiple-port (SRMP) antenna to alter the traditional approach of multiple-antenna arrays for improving beamforming performances with reduced aperture sizes. The major contribution of this paper is to demonstrate the beamforming capability of the SRMP antenna for use as an extremely miniaturized front-end component in more sophisticated beamforming applications.
