Acquired ectopic splenic tissue is called splenosis, which is common after the history of trauma or surgical exploration. We present a rare case of intrahepatic splenosis in 36-year-old male patient mimicking a liver neoplasm on imaging however presented with left flank pain for 5 months and had remote history of splenectomy after splenic rupture from trauma. We discuss various imaging modalities and the role of various magnetic resonance imaging sequences and nuclear medicine examination.

In contrast to varied therapy approaches, mirror therapy (MT) can be used even in completely plegic stroke survivors, as it uses visual stimuli for producing a desired response in the affected limb. MT has been studied to have effects not just on motor impairments but also on sensations, visuospatial neglect, and pain after stroke. This paper attempts to systematically review and present the current perspectives on mirror therapy and its application in stroke rehabilitation, and dosage, feasibility and acceptability in stroke rehabilitation.

Objective: To test the hypothesis that transcranial magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound (tcMRgFUS) thalamotomy is effective, durable, and safe for patients with medication-refractory essential tremor (ET), we assessed clinical outcomes at 3-year follow-up of a controlled multicenter prospective trial.

Methods: Outcomes were based on the Clinical Rating Scale for Tremor, including hand combined tremor-motor (scale of 0-32), functional disability (scale of 0-32), and postural tremor (scale of 0-4) scores, and total scores from the Quality of Life in Essential Tremor Questionnaire (scale of 0-100). Scores at 36 months were compared with baseline and at 6 months after treatment to assess for efficacy and durability.

Background Gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB) has been reported to be more common in patients with chronic renal failure and end-stage renal disease requiring hemodialysis with higher mortality than in the general population. Background and Purpose- Our study aims to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of computed tomography angiography (CTA) for surveillance of tiny unruptured intracranial aneurysms and the impact of CTA radiation-induced brain tumor on the overall effectiveness of CTA. Methods- A Markov decision model was constructed from a societal perspective starting with patients 30-, 40-, or 50-year-old, with incidental detection of unruptured intracranial aneurysm ≤3 mm and no prior history of subarachnoid hemorrhage. Five different management strategies were assessed (1) annual CTA surveillance, (2) biennial CTA, (3) CTA follow-up every 5 years, (4) coiling and subsequent magnetic resonance imaging follow-up, and (5) annual CTA surveillance for the first 2 years, followed by every 5-year CTA follow-up.

The purpose of this study is 1) to demonstrate reproducibility of spin echo-echo planar imaging (SE-EPI) magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) to estimate kidney stiffness; and 2) to compare SE-EPI MRE and gradient recalled echo (GRE) MRE-derived stiffness estimations in various anatomical regions of the kidney. Kidney MRE was performed on 33 healthy subjects (8 for SE-EPI MRE reproducibility and 25 for comparison with GRE MRE; age range: 22-66 years) in a 3 T MRI scanner. To demonstrate SE-EPI MRE reproducibility, subjects were scanned for the first scan and then asked to leave the scan room and repositioned again for the second (repeat) scan.

Novel analogs of the allosteric, biased PAR1 ligand ML161 (parmodulin 2, PM2) were prepared in order to identify potential anti-thrombotic and anti-inflammatory compounds of the parmodulin class with improved properties. Investigations of structure-activity relationships of the western portion of the 1,3-diaminobenzene scaffold were performed using an intracellular calcium mobilization assay with endothelial cells, and several heterocycles were identified that inhibited PAR1 at sub-micromolar concentrations. The oxazole NRD-21 was profiled in additional detail, and it was confirmed to act as a selective, reversible, negative allosteric modulator of PAR1.
