Coccidiosis is a protozoan disease that causes diarrhea in cattle. This study examines the impact of treating pregnant cows at dry-off with melatonin on postpartum coccidia excretion in dams and their calves. The study population comprised 106 primiparous lactating dairy cows: 53 controls and 53 receiving melatonin on days 220-226 of gestation, plus 99 calves: 52 born from control and 47 from treated dams.

Also, pathological and molecular changes induced by both strategies and their impact on patients' outcomes have not been reported so far.
Patients And Methods: In a cohort of 186 patients with early-stage HoR+/HER2-negative BC treated with NACT or NET, we assessed the association of baseline main clinicopathological features and PAM50 gene expression (GE), intrinsic subtypes (IS) and risk-of-relapse (ROR-P) score with pathological outcomes according to treatment strategy.
Background/objectives: The aim of the study was to determine the clinical value of the sentinel lymph node ratio (SLN-R) in predicting additional positive lymph nodes during axillary lymph node dissection (ALND) in breast cancer patients following neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC).
Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed at a single institution evaluating data from 1521 BC patients. Inclusion criteria comprised cT1/cT4, cN0/cN1 status with positive post-NAC axillary staging by SLN/TAD, respectively, and subsequent ALND.

These relatively uncommon processes usually affect women of childbearing age. They usually present as a palpable mass that is painful on palpation.

A recent genomic prediction model for twin pregnancies has been developed based on twin calving or abortion. However, the incidence of double ovulation is significantly higher than that of twin births.

Most evidence on the association of HER2 status with pathologic responses and prognosis in HR+/HER2-negative BC is controversial and restricted to NACT-treated disease. Similarly, a temporal heterogeneity in HER2 status has been described only with NACT.

Transrectal ultrasonography was used as the gold standard method. The study population constituted of 284 cows.

Recently, a genomic prediction for twin pregnancies has been developed. The objective of this study was to assess environmental and management risk factors affecting the incidence of twin pregnancies in high-producing dairy cows in their first lactation, with a special emphasis placed on the genomic prediction values of twin pregnancy.

To predict the risk of ipsilateral breast tumor relapse (IBTR) after BCS, the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) developed a nomogram to analyze local recurrence (LR) risk in our cohort and to assess its external validation.
Methods: A historical cohort study using data from 296 patients treated for DCIS at the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona was carried out.
Background: CDK4/6 inhibitors (CDKi), namely, palbociclib, ribociclib, and abemaciclib, combined with either an aromatase inhibitor (AI) or fulvestrant are the standard first/second line for hormone receptor-positive(HR+)/HER2-negative(neg) metastatic breast cancer (MBC). However, the choice of one specific CDKi is arbitrary and based on the physician's experience with the drug, toxicity profile, and patient's preferences, whereas biomarkers for optimal patient selection have not been established so far. Moreover, upfront chemotherapy is still recommended in case of clinical presentation with visceral crisis, despite no evidence of superior benefit for chemotherapy regimens against CDKi-based regimens.

Purpose: To evaluate in vivo two-dimensional correlated spectroscopy (2D COSY) data from women at elevated risk of breast cancer to determine if resonances consistent with MMA are present, and if so to correlate levels with breast density, menopausal status and risk categories.
Purpose: The aim of this study is to assess the potential of quantitative image analysis and machine learning techniques to differentiate between malignant lymph nodes and benign lymph nodes affected by reactive changes due to COVID-19 vaccination.
Method: In this institutional review board-approved retrospective study, we improved our previously published artificial intelligence model, by retraining it with newly collected images and testing its performance on images containing benign lymph nodes affected by COVID-19 vaccination. All the images were acquired and selected by specialized breast-imaging radiologists and the nature of each node (benign or malignant) was assessed through a strict clinical protocol using ultrasound-guided biopsies.
Background: Calciphylaxis is not uniquely observed in uraemic patients, as some cases have also been reported in patients with normal renal function or moderate chronic kidney disease (CKD), in association with severe vasculopathy or systemic inflammation. A particular subset worthy of studying is represented by those patients who develop calciphylaxis after kidney transplantation (KT).
Methods: Analysis of the local series of calciphylaxis after KT ( = 14) along with all the other cases reported in the literature from 1969 to 2019 ( = 31), for a total population of 45 patients, is presented.

The increasingly early diagnosis of breast disease and the more widespread use of primary systemic therapy leads to an increasing number of surgeries for non-palpable breast lesions (NPL) in clinical practice. Breast-conserving surgery often requires the use of an image-guided preoperative localization procedure, in which a device is placed within the lesion to be removed to guide the surgeon during surgery. These are patients with small, non-palpable tumors detected in the population screening mammogram, cases with significant reduction of the lesion after neoadjuvant chemotherapy and sometimes it is even necessary to mark axillary lymphadenopathies prior to systemic treatment.

Patients And Methods: From 2010 to 2017, we have found 25 women with architectural distortion at mammography who underwent surgical resection with a final hystopathologic report of RS/CSL.
New treatment strategies such as immune checkpoint inhibitors and oncolytic viruses are opening new possibilities in cancer therapy. Preliminary results in melanoma and other tumors showed that the combination of talimogene laherparepvec with an anti-PD-1/PD-L1 or anti-CTLA4 has greater efficacy than either therapy alone, without additional safety concerns beyond those expected for each agent. The presence of residual cancer after neoadjuvant chemotherapy in early breast cancer patients is an unmet medical need.

Methods: From November 2014 to November 2019, we performed 1605 core needle biopsies guided by ultrasound in our department.
This study aimed to assess the potential of state-of-the-art ultrasound analysis techniques to non-invasively diagnose axillary lymph nodes involvement in breast cancer. After exclusion criteria, 105 patients were selected from two different hospitals. The 118 lymph node ultrasound images taken from these patients were divided into 53 cases and 65 controls, which made up the study series.

Methods: Institutional review board-approved retrospective study, with waiver of the need to obtain informed consent. From January 2015 to June 2017, 81 women with 82 breast cancers undergoing NST were included.
