The close relationship of the respiratory system with other systems and organs, its significant participation in the processes of metabolism once again proves the exceptional role of the study of respiratory function. On the other hand, the health of students is one of the most important social tasks of modern society. The aim of the study was detection of parameters of external respiration in students of Georgia.

CORRELATION BETWEEN SPIROMETRY DATES AND SPECIAL ALLERGEN- SPECIFIC IGE IN PATIENTS WITH BRONCHIAL ASTHMA IN WEST GEORGIA.

The study aimed to establish correlation between airway obstruction and specific IgE specificity, managing future treatment in the patients with bronchial asthma, among the population of west Georgia. In the study have been involved 56 patients (among them 24 males and 32 females) of different ages, with diagnostic bronchial asthma (according to GINA recommendation). On the ground of the aim the study included the following steps of allegro-diagnostics: I step - Computerized spirometry by apparatus ,,SPIROLAB 3".

MONITORING THE EFFICACY OF MONTELUKAST USED IN CHILDREN WITH RISK OF ASTHMA.

[Comparison of the therapeutic effectiveness of present methods of treating schizophrenia].

Following the analysis of 5845 cases of schizophrenia taken from different periode during the development of psychiatric methods of therapy between 1926 and 1967, it appears that the therapeutic methods of each particular period are difficult to distinguish from each other as regards effectiveness (in the sense of complete or partial remissions). In comparison, the proportion of improvements brought about during hospitalised treatment showed an important increase, the number of totally unsatisfactory results fell. The psychotropic substances provide the possibility of halting the further deepening of the schizophrenic process, and create good pre-requisites for psychotherapeutic, sociotherapeutic and rehabilitative measures.
