Aims/hypothesis: Type 2 diabetes is associated with a high risk of sudden cardiac death (SCD), but the risk of dying from another cause (non-SCD) is proportionally even higher. The aim of the study was to identify easily available ECG-derived features associated with SCD, while considering the competing risk of dying from non-SCD causes.
Methods: In the SURDIAGENE (Survie, Diabete de type 2 et Genetique) French prospective cohort of individuals with type 2 diabetes, 15 baseline ECG parameters were interpreted among 1362 participants (mean age 65 years; HbA 62±17 mmol/mol [7.
Diagnosis and management of cardiac complications of cancer treatment can be challenging. Few PET data suggest a potential role of dynamic perfusion imaging with measurements of absolute myocardial blood flow and flow reserve (MFR). We report the case of a 72-year-old woman with a history of bilateral breast cancer who underwent dynamic cardiac scintigraphy.

Latrunculins are marine toxins used in cell biology to block actin polymerization. The development of new synthetic strategies and methods for their synthesis is thus important in order to improve, modulate or control this biological value. The total syntheses found in the literature all target similar disconnections, especially an aldol strategy involving a recurrent 4-acetyl-1,3-thiazolidin-2-one ketone partner.

The multicentre France Percutaneous Coronary Intervention Registry includes every patient undergoing coronary angiography in France. We analyzed the prevalence and impact of unmodifiable and modifiable risk factors on 30-day survival in patients experiencing STEMI.

Goal: The aim of the study is to assess the incidence, risk factors and prognosis of definite stent thrombosis (ST) at 1 year in the France PCI multicenter prospective registry.
Patients And Methods: Only patients who underwent coronary angioplasty with at least one stent implantation between 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2019 were included. The population was separated into 2 groups: the "ST" group with stent thrombosis and the "control" group without stent thrombosis.
Background: The development of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) has led to an improvement in morbidity-mortality in the treatment of severe aortic stenosis in patients at high surgical risk. However, the procedure is not free from life-threatening cardiovascular outcomes and conductive disturbances. The objective of our study was to analyze the prognostic impact of aortic valve calcium score on the occurrence of complications following the procedure.

However, how the complex histopathological remodeling and the new techniques affect healing processes after stent implantation remains unknown.
Objective: The objective of the PERFE-CTO study is to analyze stent coverage, malapposition and other mechanical abnormalities 3 months after CTO recanalization using intravascular imaging.
Background: Patient prognosis in type 1 myotonic dystrophy (DM1) is very poor. Annual 24-hour holter ECG monitoring is recommended but its relevance is debated. Main objective was to determine whether holter ECG parameters could predict global death in DM1 patients and secondarily to assess whether they could predict cardiovascular events and sudden cardiac death, to compare DM1 patients and healthy controls, and to assess their evolution in DM1 over a 5-year period.

We present the case of a 70-year-old female with a left superior vena cava (SVC) draining into the left atrium by the left superior pulmonary vein, with a complete right-to-left shunt of the superior venous circulation caused by a former catheter thrombosis in the right SVC. Diagnosis was suspected after a contrast echocardiography showing an exclusive perfusion of left heart after intravenous injection and confirmed by helical computed tomography with three-dimensional reconstruction.

Rabies cell culture vaccines are able to induce circulating interferon in human sera. In 8/15 cases a low peak of interferon appears in the serum about 8 h after the vaccination. The inhibition has been considered as due to interferon because of the resistance to pH 2 and lack of activity on other animal species.

Rabies virus haemagglutinin has not hitherto been obtained to our knowledge, from brain material of infected animals. A slight modification of the arbovirus technique and the use of trypsin treatment can reveal a good haemagglutinin from fixed and street strain from infected brains.
