Interactions between different types of immune cells and organically-modified silica nanoparticles were studied. The silica particles functionalized with amine groups were prepared by sol-gel technique. Sheep immunoglobulin labeled with fluoresceine isothiocyanate was immobilized by adsorption onto the nanoparticles.

It has been found that D-glucose and D-fructose form thermodynamically stable associates with aspartic acid, in contrast to D-galactose. The selectivity in the interaction of aspartic acid with monosaccharides is affected by their stereochemical structures.
