Melanin is a dark pigment from the group of phenolic or indole polymers with inherent biocompatibility and antioxidant capacity. In extremophilic lichen Lobaria pulmonaria, melanin is responsible for protective properties against hostile environments. Herein, the ability of melanin extracted from L.

Without reliable, fast, and cost-effective detection methods for HAdVs, patients may be misdiagnosed and inappropriately treated. To address this problem, we have developed a multiplex loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) assay for the detection of the species (HAdV-B), (HAdV-C) and (HAdV-E) that cause RTIs.

Maintaining viability with an almost complete loss of water and the rapid restoration of metabolism during rehydration distinguishes lichens from most eukaryotic organisms. The lichen is known to have high stress tolerance, possessing diverse defense mechanisms, including the presence of the bright-orange pigment parietin.

The aim of this study was to assess which Mycoplasma pneumoniae genotypes were present in Moscow during the years 2015-2018 and whether the proportion between detected genotypes changed over time. We were also interested in the presence of macrolide resistance (MR)Mycoplasma pneumoniae. We performed multilocus variable-number tandem-repeat (VNTR) analysis (MLVA), SNP typing, and mutation typing in the 23S rRNA gene from 117 M.

Among other spectrum comparison approaches, the peak search at their location is the most important task of spectral imaging of the studied samples. In this work, the Raman spectra of liquid drugs involved in the governmental non-destructive quality screening program performed by 8 mobile laboratories equipped with Raman spectrometers with uncooled detector and a 532 nm laser were compared with reference sample spectra using the peak windows correlation (PWC) algorithm developed in this work by authors.

It has been confirmed that NR activity in wheat leaves depends on the light conditions and the presence of nitrates during the cultivation of the seedlings, and it is regulated by the molybdenum cofactor and phosphorylation.

Gaertn with different morphogenic potential. The morphogenic callus had a higher content of soluble proteins and cyclic pattern of changes in this index during passaging, which seems to be due to formation of proembryogenic cell complexes.

Changes in the protein composition of the calluses cultivated in the dark and in the light indicated the higher sensitivity of the non-morphogenic callus. Different response of callus cultures to salicylic acid and conditions of cultivation (light, darkness) is suggested to be associated with the antioxidant defense system, which is, in particular, characterized by the hydrogen peroxide content in the calluses.
