Low-field (LF) MRI promises soft-tissue imaging without the expensive, immobile magnets of clinical scanners but generally suffers from limited detection sensitivity and contrast. The sensitivity boost provided by hyperpolarization can thus be highly synergistic with LF MRI. Initial efforts to integrate a continuous-bubbling SABRE (signal amplification by reversible exchange) hyperpolarization setup with a portable, point-of-care 64 mT clinical MRI scanner are reported.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is the most abundant technology in the fields of manufacturing, automation, transportation, robotics, and agriculture, utilizing the IoT's sensors-sensing capability. It plays a vital role in digital transformation and smart revolutions in critical infrastructure environments. However, handling heterogeneous data from different IoT devices is challenging from the perspective of security and privacy issues.

In the realm of hyperspectral image classification, the pursuit of heightened accuracy and comprehensive feature extraction has led to the formulation of an advance architectural paradigm. This study proposed a model encapsulated within the framework of a unified model, which synergistically leverages the capabilities of three distinct branches: the swin transformer, convolutional neural network, and encoder-decoder. The main objective was to facilitate multiscale feature learning, a pivotal facet in hyperspectral image classification, with each branch specializing in unique facets of multiscale feature extraction.

We report on hyperpolarization of quadrupolar (I=3/2) Xe via spin-exchange optical pumping. Observations of the Xe polarization dynamics via in situ low-field NMR show that the estimated alkali-metal/Xe spin-exchange rates can be large enough to compete with Xe spin relaxation. Xe polarization up to 7.

Unlabelled: New approaches to treating periodontal diseases aim to balance sustaining the natural oral microbiota and modifying the host immune response. Gum Arabic (GA) is a natural polysaccharide rich in prebiotics. The aim of this study was to assess the effect of GA on clinical (Plaque Index (PI), Gingival Index (GI)) and immunological (Gingival Crevicular Fluid Interleukin 1 Beta (GCF IL-1 β)) parameters in patients with plaque-induced gingivitis.

: Contraceptives in family planning are used to control the timings between pregnancies. Although the number of those using family planning has increased, determinants of contraceptive use among married women in Indonesia remain insufficient. This research aimed to identify the factors associated with contraceptive use among married women in Indonesia.

Objective: Several dose metrics in the categories-homogeneity, coverage, conformity and gradient have been proposed in literature for evaluating treatment plan quality. In this study, we applied these metrics to characterize and identify the plan quality metrics that would merit plan quality assessment in lung stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) dose distributions.

Methods: Treatment plans of 90 lung SBRT patients, comprising 91 targets, treated in our institution were retrospectively reviewed.

Lithocholic acid (LCA) is a secondary bile acid that is selectively toxic to human neuroblastoma, breast and prostate cancer cells, whilst sparing normal cells. We previously reported that LCA inhibited cell viability and proliferation and induced apoptosis and necrosis of androgen-dependent LNCaP and androgen-independent PC-3 human prostate cancer cells. In the present study, we investigated the roles of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, autophagy and mitochondrial dysfunction in the toxicity of LCA in PC-3 and autophagy deficient, androgen-independent DU-145 cells.

Objective: To assess bone mineral density (BMD), body composition by dual X-ray absorptiometry (DXA), and various biochemical markers of bone growth and resorption in a group of children with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM).

Patients And Methods: The study included 47 patients with T1DM and 30 age- and sex-matched controls. Anthropometric measurements, biochemical markers for bone formation, bone resorption and DXA were done for all patients and controls.

The aim of this work was to evaluate the effects of extreme body mass index (BMI) on assisted reproductive treatment outcome and pregnancy outcome. This is a descriptive cohort study that evaluated 8,145 consecutive in-vitro fertilisation/intracytoplasmic sperm injection-embryo transfer (IVF/ICSI-ET) cycles in which BMI were known, from July 1997 to June 2005 in an inner London major fertility clinic. The data were collected prospectively and analysed retrospectively on women undergoing IVF/ICSI and ET.

Background: To evaluate the effect of egg-sharing and the outcome of assisted reproductive treatment (ART) in standard IVF/ICSI patients, egg-sharing donors and egg-sharing recipients.

Methods: Descriptive cohort study to evaluate 276 egg-sharing cycles involving 192 egg-sharers, 274 recipient cycles receiving eggs from egg-sharers and 1098 non-egg-sharing standard IVF/ICSI cycles from January 1998 to December 2002. Patients were divided into three groups: group A, egg-sharers; group B, non-egg-sharers, age <36 years, FSH <10 IU/l, BMI <30 kg/m(2); and group C, egg-sharing recipients, all ages.

Objectives: To present our experience in 48 coasted patients and how they performed in terms of the number of eggs collected, numbers of embryos available for embryo transfer after in vitro fertilization, pregnant and on going pregnancy rate.

Methods: The study was conducted at Lister Hospital, London, United Kingdom, during the period October 1998 through to May 2001. For the purpose of the study, we selected coasted cycles in patients who were less than 38 years of age (n=48 patients).

In this prospective control study, the pregnancy and implantation rates were compared between ultrasound-guided and clinical touch uterine embryo transfers. In addition, a subset of patients was sought that would particularly benefit from embryo transfer under ultrasound guidance. A total of 187 patients (93 ultrasound and 94 clinical touch) was enrolled.

200 women with history of abortion and 100 women with history of uneventful pregnancies were investigated serologically for anti-Toxoplasma antibodies using both the indirect haemagglutination test and the Sabin-Feldman dye test. Our results indicated a role for the first test in seroepidemiological surveys and for routine work. The second test may be reserved for cases with negative haemagglutination test in the presence of strong suspicion of toxoplasmosis.
