Objective: This study aimed to determine whether there was a difference in postoperative Arizona Biomedical (AzBio) speech recognition scores in 2 differently aged subgroups of veterans 50 years and older after cochlear implantation (CI).
Study Design: Retrospective chart review.
Setting: Tertiary referral center.
Objective: Seizures are known to occur with diurnal and other rhythms. To gain insight into the neurophysiology of periodicity of seizures, we tested the hypothesis that intracranial high-frequency oscillations (HFOs) show diurnal rhythms and sleep-wake cycle variation. We further hypothesized that HFOs have different rhythms within and outside the seizure-onset zone (SOZ).

We evaluated one hundred consecutive surgeries performed for patients with epilepsy to address the impact of SLA on our therapeutic approach, as well as patient outcomes.
Methods: A retrospective, single center analysis of the last one hundred neurosurgeries for epilepsy was performed from 2013 to 2015.
