Effectiveness of hypertonic saline irrigation following functional endoscopic sinus surgery: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Objectives: This study aimed to clarify the impact of hypertonic solutions on various outcomes, including persistence or reduction of nasal crusts, polypoid edema, and postoperative inflammatory symptoms.

Methods: We searched PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials for studies comparing hypertonic with isotonic saline irrigation after FESS in adult patients with Chronic Rhinosinusitis (CRS). Outcomes were polypoid mucosa, nasal crusts, and variation from the baseline of Sino-Nasal Outcome Test (SNOT) 20/22 and Visual Analog Scale (VAS).

Transphobia as a social disease: discourses of vulnerabilities in trans men and transmasculine people.

Objective: to analyze the repercussions of transphobia on trans men's and transmasculine people's health.

Method: a qualitative study carried out with 38 participants, 35 trans men and three trans men, who attended specialized transgender health services in Bahia, Brazil. In-depth interviews were carried out between June 2019 and February 2020.

Performance in decoding and writing of children with Developmental Language Disorder: preliminary data.

Purpose: to verify the performance of children with Developmental Language Disorder in decoding and writing tests in order to better understand their manifestations and the process of acquiring written language skills.

Methods: The study subjects were 80 children. The Research Group consisted of 16 children diagnosed with Developmental Language Disorder, 13 males and 3 females, mean age of 7.

COVID-19 Pandemic and Autism Spectrum Disorder, Consequences to Children and Adolescents - a Systematic Review.

Unlabelled: In this systematic review, we aimed to identify the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on children/adolescents with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The protocol was registered on PROSPERO CRD42021255848. Articles were selected from PubMed, Embase, and LILACS according to these characteristics: patients from zero to 18 years old, exposed to the COVID-19 pandemic, impact on social communication/interaction and restricted/repetitive behavior domains.

Association between sexuality and quality of life in older adults.

Objective: To analyze the association between the experiences of sexuality and quality of life in older adults.

Method: Cross-sectional study developed with a total of 300 older adults living in northeastern Brazil. Data collection was carried out entirely online between August and October 2020.
