Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a leading cause of cancer deaths globally, with around 750,000 fatalities annually, and poses a serious health challenge particularly in Mexico, where it ranks as the third leading cause of cancer death.
A 58-year-old male patient with liver cirrhosis and a large tumor was treated with a combination of celecoxib and pentoxifylline, alongside vitamin supplements, showing remarkable improvements, including tumor reduction and a better clinical state.
Despite promising results, further multicenter studies are needed to validate the efficacy of this combined treatment approach for HCC.
