Background: In surgery, simulated-based training improves the knowledge and interpersonal skills needed for surgeons to improve their performance and meet the "never the first time on a patient" imperative. The objective is to evaluate the effects of a 2017 reform on surgeon's accessibility to simulation-based training, five years after the implementation of the program, and to gauge surgeon satisfaction.

Introduction: Pulmonary vascular dysfunction during severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) may lead to right ventricle (RV) dysfunction and acute cor pulmonale (ACP). The occurrence/persistence of ACP despite conventional extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is a challenging situation. A complete lack of bilateral activation of tibialis anterior (TA) during gait initiation (GI), along with bradykinetic anticipatory postural adjustments (APAs), often occurs in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) in their OFF-medication state. Functional electrical stimulation (FES) is a non-pharmacological method frequently used in neurorehabilitation to optimize the effect of L-DOPA on locomotor function in this population.
